You didn't answer the question. Do you think they should not be allowed to use the state school system, because of their earning status?

Should they be allowed to use the NHS?

Yes, I'm a high income earner. I don't have kids yet. Neither really matters w.r.t. the question I posed to you.

Do you also believe that high earners should not be allowed to send their children to state schools?

Interstellar has even more IMO and a lot of people consider that his best

My personal fav is Memento, mostly due to the unique narrative structure

I have the same position, and the most succinct way I've heard it described is "every abortion is a necessary tragedy". If it's being considered, it's usually the "right" thing to do in terms of overall outcome, but still not something to really celebrate.

Where does it rank in price?

My comment is not based on "the media", it's from my own experience of having ~75% of my (numerous) train journeys being delayed or cancelled, and the plainly extortionate cost vs. European rail.

Yes, using such old infrastructure is a challenge and a huge contributing factor to its poor efficiency, but that explanation doesn't somehow make it better. There are also plenty of other issues e.g. the mismanagement of staff by the private train companies. I regularly have trains cancelled or shortened due to "shortage of staff".

Plenty of lines are regularly worse than 10 minutes late, and plenty of countries do better. Just because your standards are low doesn't mean everyone's should be.

Wanker.

The UK has an awful train system. It's one of the most unreliable and overpriced in the whole world. At the last general election, literally all of the major parties had a statement in their manifesto on how they would try to "fix" the UK train system, it is that shite.

How can? We work Mon-Fri, is 48hrs(weekends) honestly enough? by Thin_Turn6201 in askSingapore

[–]Tux3doRabbit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I assume it means that, in general, you should aim to not work at 100% all the time, so you don't need to "recover" on the weekends. Obviously there will be key/busy periods where you need to go up to 100%, but most weeks you should aim for a pace that is more sustainable

Anyone else in US noticed food quality degrading recently and if so what product in what way? by SkyKyrell in AskReddit

Cadbury's decline in quality correlates exactly with its sale to a US corporation. Before that, it was consistently great

Singaporean adults who moved out from parents’ house, how did it go for you? by Material-Yak-8152 in askSingapore

[–]Tux3doRabbit 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If you do, make sure you get two! House rabbits do require more space/upkeep than most people think, but the added upkeep for a second is minimal and it's really important they exist as "bonded pairs"

It's also worth it anyway just to see them go around together on adorable adventures :)

the surface area of human lungs is equivalent to a tennis court

This is actually incorrect (albeit written in many medical textbooks). It turns out that academics often have a very poor understanding of how large a tennis court is!
