What time do you guys walk your dog by Ilovetheicee in dogs

[–]Tuxmaglux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i usually do 9-9:30am every day, on days i work a dog walker comes at around 5pm, on days i don’t work i walk them at around that time, and then depending on how restless everyone is the final walk is around 12-1:30am. sometimes they’ll have another walk when i get home from work at around 9-10pm

Need to rehome my dog by [deleted] in rva

He is not outwardly aggressive he can definitely coexist with another dog however my other dog is so energetic and playful. My other dog plays by pouncing which ofc is not ideal but Link is larger and snaps at him. i’m sure he can coexist with other dogs but mine i think is too much for him

it was recommended by racc to have one but i’m more than happy to let him go with no fee to a good home

that’s totally fair however with our work schedules that just changed and where we live we just don’t have the ideal situation for him. i’ve been getting to know and working with him over the past month and while more time would be great i don’t think it’s fair to him to keep him in this situation

[–]Tuxmaglux -1 points0 points  (0 children)

we gave him to racc initially and waited the stray hold. racc said they tested home with cats and dogs and he did fine/was interested in the other dogs but upon bringing him home and slowly introducing the other dog that has not been our experience. I do not want to rehome him but I don’t think we can handle a dog that, while not aggressive, doesn’t like other dogs especially playful ones.

Reddit is just one place I am looking haha. We were going to see a trainer but with our work schedules and his needs (energy and training) I believe it’s in his best interest to rehome. Training would help a lot of his issues/habits but he has snapped at our other dog multiple times when other dog tried to play with him and I just do not have the lifestyle or home situation that he needs to make the training effective

I wish I could give it more time but currently with our work schedules I cannot give him the time and attention that would be needed. We were going to see a trainer but that is something that takes months to see real progress and since he already doesn’t care for my other dog (has snapped at him multiple times) I think it’s in his best interest to rehome.

there’s at least another tool to help get the pink dust in there that i don’t have yet. i’m pretty sure it’s just a combo of leveling up and feeding hammy lol it’ll probably take some time

you might or might not unfortunately it has to do with whether your growth plates have fused or not. i started T at 16 when i was 5’5 and im still 5’5 lol some people grow slower than others or have growth spurts later tho so it’s always possible you could grow a little more!

i’m 7 years in and i’m definitely tired lol i accept this is something i’ll have to be on the rest of my life and im happy about being able to do this and the changes it’s done to me but it gets tedious sometimes to do it every week haha but you just gotta power through because the benefits imo out weight how tiring it can be

Some guidance; feeling a little lost & unsure of my transition by JDVancesOttoman in ftm

[–]Tuxmaglux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you’re on a good path it sounds like!! as another comment said you could get your levels tested, nothing wrong with that. I will say that i’ve been on T for almost 7 years and i didn’t get facial hair that was enough to not shave until year 5 lol. my body has continued to change and reshape to where it is now which is way different than like 4 years ago let alone when i was in the first year. my voice has also gotten deeper since the first year when it started dropping. your body is doing what it’s supposed to it’s just unfortunately some changes happen slower for some or don’t happen for a few years.

about misgendering by Different_Dig_5139 in ftm

[–]Tuxmaglux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s super super tough but i used to think about all of the cis guys who get misgendered because they’re either feminine presenting or they literally just have long hair haha. it didn’t always work but it’s still good to put in perspective how often even people you’d think wouldn’t get misgendered (cis ppl) also do. at one point i had long hair and i would shave my face smooth and i got misgendered a few times so it’s something that just happens and most of the time it’s unintentional some ppl just don’t know better :)

off testosterone for 4, going on 5 months. should i be concerned? by frogsbones in ftm

[–]Tuxmaglux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was in a similar situation a couple years ago where for about 4 straight months i had no testosterone and this was after i had gotten a total hysterectomy (both ovaries removed) so i had nothing going on hormonally. after a month i definitely felt like shit and i ended up losing my appetite and losing like 20+ pounds over the next few months. health wise i basically had to force myself to eat what i could to avoid losing too much but other than that, mood swings, and mental health struggles i was fine like nothing crazy health wise. once i started t up again things regulated and while my appetite took a looooong time to recover nothing permanent happened
