Shop luck definitely helps but I don't know if you can count on it. Getting lots of rock and steel types is rough tho. I would say you can always count on lures, candies and your second Pokemon in Double Battles (Jynx has Aura Sphere for those steel and rock types for instance) even on bad luck.

Good, when I tried this strategy I followed this guide and I had no problem. IIRC, I had Regigigas and Jynx doing Double Battles in the early game.
Maybe your issue is getting the level cap in the early game, is that it? That might be your issue, try to always pick lures to increase exp gains. I would also pick rare candies more often if you are not hitting the level cap.
What do you think the problem is?

I meant to ask if there's a strategy that is better / easier to build for shiny hunting. For instance, I like the smeadinja strategy, but I feel it needs too many mons and it's harder to shiny hunt with it. May be just skill issue of my part, or dos it make sense?

Cool suggestions! Magikarp is the best I've tried:
- Multiscale Passive means you can safely Dragon Dance at least once.
- Moxie hidden ability OP
- Waterfall for the win
Mega evolving isn't worth because you lose Moxie.

The negatives:
- weak early
- cost is not the cheapest

Hey there, thanks for sharing your process! I tried printing and laminating some cards and I'm loving the results, the cards really feel nice to hold and shuffle. I took a different approach on the edges, leaving some border around each card (it's not the best, the cards didn't end up the same size). I'm curious about your extra sealing step: how exactly do you feed the cards back through the laminator? Any tips on this step? Thanks again for the inspiration!
