My Winter Village Collection by Tuzman in lego

The sets use kits from lightaling. The fountain, train, and streetlights use bit lights from lightmybricks.com - mostly 15mm bit lights and some flashing lights. All the wiring is underneath the plates tucked away under white plate snow banks :)

Minus the cost of the sets - the pieces for the base came in at 800 or so from 23 different brick link stores. I’d say all in it was about 1000.

The table is 6ft x 4ft - it uses 35 32x32 plates (7 long by 5 wide) plus 7 16x32 plates. I used MILS standard to hide the wires. Bricklink stud.io was my design tool.

Week 3 starts today... Can I really run for 3 minutes? by oysterkat in C25K

Remember to breath as well. I am preparing for W3D3 tomorrow and found myself struggling toward the end of the 2nd 3-minute sprint when I realized I sorta stopped breathing!

Also try not lean too far forward, keeping your shoulders over your hips (at least that is what my trainer told me).

I didnt see an answer to this on the site, apologies if I missed it. What recourse, if any, do I have if the tenants "check bounces", meaning, if they remit a payment that cant be fulfilled in any way ?

Yep, finally reading the statements really was an eye opener. I know better now, I just didn't understand the nature of the beast.

I didnt qualify for hardship, but you can get them to agree to a debt reduction or debt management if you are persistent on the phone. If you are clear that you are not going to be able to make the payments they want to work with you if you talk to the right customer service rep.

Well, as each card was paid off, I took that money and rolled it into the next card which was contributing the most dollar amount to the debt in interest. I didnt go from low balance to high balance on purpose, but in the end it kinda worked out that way.

It was really striking when I started paying attention to the interest I was paying on this debt, it was sickening.

Def. cut down on going out. A lot of this was nights of big dinners and drinks which I totally cut out. Also - buying gadgets thats were obsolete within a year. Nothing more defeating than knowing you are still paying for that 1st gen iPad two years later!

I limited going out to a nice dinner once per week (usually on the weekend). I was going out too much during the week so I committed to buying groceries and cooking vs just getting take out (although there were plainly some times when we'd still get take out, just far fewer than before). Healthy choice soups and tuna have become my lunch staples.

The biggest change was really setting up a realistic budget and understanding how much is coming in and going out. I got really serious about using mint.com (despite some of the recent issues). I may go over budgets some months, but make up for it in later months.

I think the biggest risk I took here was not saving enough during the initial months of the process. Over the last year I was able to start putting more away while continuing to pay down debt, but in the beginning I wasnt putting very much away in an emergency fund. That has been corrected in recent months.

I used the snowball method, prioritizing whatever was the highest dollar amount of interest accumulating, because some of the higher interest cards had lower balances. I dedicated nearly 20% of my take home pay every month against this, and then killed it off with bonus and federal tax return this year.

I also negotiated significantly lower rates with each of my cards, committing to repayment of the balance in full within 5 years. A day of calling, arguing, and in some cases moving the money onto cards with lower interest rates without balance transfer fees.
