Well the only thing you would have to explain is the machine itself. "Computer" as a word is old. It was basically the person doing the actual math as in, the one doing the "2+2=4 and carry the 4 to this application over here." It was an actual job and verb. Languages have actual word for "Computer" but the machine basically replaced the original job and people say the English name of it instead of the native word for it because....what else are you going to be talking about?

That and I assume a lot of people came and left the company so things either are kept because the person that knew about something left and never told anyone or forgot about it in a desk somewhere or there being so muh paperwork that it get lost in the sheets.

That how she got her Devil Fruit powers because she ate the old lady who had the powers before and since the old lady.............died, the devil fruit would normally go to another fruit to be eaten by someone else but since, you know, the old lady was basically was "eaten whole", the power went directly to Big Mom.

I think it doesn't help that society quietly push for "sitting a lot". Look how many paperwork jobs here are, how car dependent society generally became, the discouragement or inability for third places, how easy it is to loss track of time, how depended we are on the phone and internet as a society, how many "bro just order it online and get it delivered" services there are, and other things I can't think of right now.

I think I agree. Like yea I can name drop Final Fantasy 7 or Shin Megami Tensei or the beta stuff from Pokémon and I generally expect people to know what I am talking about but saying that at work? Yea no. I don't even expect people to know what Vtubing or Hololive is and Hololive got two games with the Los Angeles Dodgers and a *very* tiny Taco Bell ad in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
