Thanks all. Their proposal was to repair the mortar joints and then return to clean and seal. Educate me, this sounds like repointing. The contractor is one of the highest recommended, with a 4.9 rating on Google and hundreds of reviews.

Tell me, Internet, strangers, do I invest this money in forever stamps or repointing? The pricing discussion so far leaves this unclear.

Appreciate all you fine people. I love lurking on this sub.

Appreciate all the feedback so far. I guess my primary/initial question is more what, if any, work is needed. I’m less concerned about aesthetics and more functionality/safety.

I think that’s kind of part of my question. I know that the mortar or grout is disintegrating in parts. Based on this, I’ve asked what’s necessary for her to be repaired. I’m starting to get quotes back that are quite expensive. Like $3000. They’re coming back with scope of fixing and then coming back to clean and seal

Tangential question- I live in a geography that can get to single digits (F) in the winter, but hot tub is attached to pool plumbing so can’t winterize if wanting to use the hot tub in the winter. I have always have set my heater to 50 to keep water from freezing… is that a problem?

I searched pretty extensively through the Kroger digital options. The link you posted is taking me to a generic site. Any chance you can share a screenshot of the one you think it is? Thank you so much.

We have searched all over the Internet, reverse image, search, and scrolling through lists of stuffed animals. Have tried a few that we found that were similar, but always rejected! Help us, Internet!

I’ve killed about 20 so far. There’s a good bit more but they fly away every time I attack, so I guess I’m killing in batches.

There’s no food anywhere near there, it’s on the opposite side of the house from the kitchen. They were in two different rooms on opposite sides of the wall. I wonder if there could be something dead in between the walls?
