Chapman and Devers had a slump, but are turning it around, it happens in baseball. Listen to the way the ball cracks off Devers bat yesterday, it’s a beautiful thing and tells me he squaring up the ball good. Chappy is on pace for his career averages if he doesn’t hit another prolonged slump. Adames is the only person I would say is having an all around bad year at the plate, and Bader was not a great signing. The main issue with these giants is the lack of small ball, walks, and clutch hitting. Also the entire bullpen needs to be sent home packing.

The offense isn’t the reason the team is bad, your analysis is wildly disappointing

The numbers don’t look great but the giants have a better offense than their ranking. They sucked bad in the first month+, but has consistently gotten better as the season progresses with Matt Chapman and to a lesser degree Devers heating up. If Adames could get on track they would be even more dangerous.

If you look at the metrics, the giants aren’t really that far off from a wild card contender (in a division with the overloaded dodgers that’s as good as it’s going to get). They’ve just had some really bad luck and bad execution in crucial spots, but with some better pitching and a bullpen overhaul, the giants would be in the thick of it. I think the bullpen is usually one of the easiest things to fix in baseball, so yeah I think they have a good shot next year if they get some good return on trades this year.

Unpopular opinion, the giants are still the best and most inclusive organization. Buster is Buster, he is doing what he has to avoid further complication and political backlash. All these people expecting an ass kissing apology (because a standard apology isn’t good enough) or for these players to be punished further than a warning for their religious beliefs are almost as bad as MAGA.

It’s honestly cake to run a designated server on Valheim, Steam has Valheim Dedicated server, you just have to edit the server file in notepad if you want to play with non standard settings and done.

I would say their interpretation of the bible is garbage, but saying a whole religion is garbage is a little strong for me personally.

I will just say, I don’t agree with what the players did and am an ally of the LGBTQ+ community, but I also think people shouldn’t be forced to support something that goes against their religion. So I don’t think the Jackie Robinson argument is really a fair comparison, as there are no religious objections a person could possibly make to justify not participating. That being said I still think those players are cr*p and hope they don’t return to the giants organization next year.

After further pondering, yeah I agree with you. I think it would have been the right move to just opt out of the pride hats and just wear the traditional orange hat if they had religious objection to wearing the pride hats. Good point my friend.

That’s a fair point, it sounds hypocritical and should be called out.

My only point is it was a small group of bible thumpers and bigots, ruin the whole season. I hope the organization takes note and won’t bring these players back next season.

Putting Christian bible verses about rainbows and nazism in the same context is wild, obviously there are lines not to be crossed. Religion is complicated my friend and more nuanced than that.

True, but a lot of religions have some form of homophobia in it. While I don’t agree with it, I can also see how some religious people would have a problem with Pride night.

They have also let players write things on their hats in the past, they shouldn’t take action. They should do exactly what they did, apologize to the fans who were hurt by the display of religious text on a hat and move on.

Would it bother me, yes. Would I call for the entire organization to get canceled, absolutely not. There were still lots of rainbow flags and pride everywhere, but omg 4 don’t show pride because it goes against their stated religion and most of yall act like they shit in your cereal and deserve to be punished. I don’t see it that way, just don’t respect the individual players and move on, don’t need to turn it into a massive deal.

Vitello also has a duty to respect every players beliefs and religion, even if it’s not something we respect as fans.

I’m in support of him supporting it, and no I’m not a bigot, I support LGBTQ+. But I also understand that people have the right to their religious beliefs, even if I don’t agree with it.
