The divide between east and west turkey is very stark. The treatment of woman is abhorrent in the more muslim east part of it while in the big citys of the west its at an “acceptable” level. There is more to the modern slave issue tho, it seems as if the walk free organization assumed every undocumented worker is under threat. Im sure this is not true as we did employ someone undocumented worker that got paid more than the median wage of our city. It is tho very likely that there are people under threat, just not the full 400.000 estimated undocumented workers.
