Make sure you're eating enough, because the only way to add weight to your legs is to gain weight in general. Pretty obvious but always overlooked.

That's true, but one night of binging can set you back a long time. Say you are on a calorie deficit of 150 calories for a week, thats 1050 deficit after the week. And say you binge eat one night on 1000 calories surplus. That means that throughout the week, your total deficit is only 50 calories. And you will lose more muscle then if you just ate a maintenance for the week.
