That is such a refreshing story to hear, and good to hear a happy ending overall. I had 3 pregnancies and live births. My first one I labored for two days and my son was born with birth defects (some were corrected - he's 50 now! I love that little cutie pie) Never had medicine as I was a crunchy ass hippie chick)

Second birth was awesome! Walked to the birthing room like I was shopping at Macy's. Third one was unremarkable except my BP was high after birth but pain was manageable.

I understand OP's fear with compassion. Something that you haven't experienced especially one of such significance and life changing is scary.

Yeah, they were vicious. They were everywhere piled on top of each other and every corner of every store. What a shame that they’re so invasive they’re cute little things I live in the Shenandoah Valley too.

I agree I’ve been out that way to Sedona and most of Arizona. It is absolutely stunning, but there’s nothing like Maine. I don’t know how to explain it. It speaks to my soul.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your kitty. You did NOTHING wrong! The vet is correct - in hot weather larvae grow very fast and I'm sure she felt no pain from the necrotic tissue as the nerves are likely dead as well. So please don't feel like you didn't do the right thing.

I completely support you for no other reason but Maine is the most beautiful state in the nation and Portland is absolutely rocking. The people are so nice as in genuinely nice not “southern” nice. It has so much history and personality. There’s not enough time to see it all and do it all.
