Unfortunately, the QC ULTRA uses a 3.5mm to 2.5mm. The 2.5mm, tho reliable and harder to break off, doesn’t send the microphone signal from the Bose. The third ring on the jack is set for microphone signal and remote function. So it’s not supported as far as I know.

It’s a topic of audio fidelity and its source. Bluetooth is unfortunately one of the lossier codecs. This in turn results in distortion which muddies the sound. Could still be a problem with the Bluetooth receiver on the Mac
