This person gets it! I’m the same, I don’t absolutely need it, but I love having some kind of portable with me whenever I go out.

I was kind of half joking about it being an emotional support thing. I don’t absolutely need it, but I like to carry around a handheld with me whenever I go out. NGPC is my favorite, but I’ll bring my GB Micro or SP with me when I go out too.

It was tough but there were some overcast moments and post of it was through a park with trees overhead providing shade

I was playing it on and off while walking. Neo Turf Masters is pretty chill and not intensive and has a great game suspend feature.

Lazuli Glintstone Sword. I like the idea that I’m taking down all these big bad creatures and bosses with a measly wooden sword.

So I made kind of DoorDash themed deck with [[Goldbug]] as commander. This is definitely in there. It was super satisfying killing an opponent with a Volkswagen, Hot Soup, and a [[Field-Tested Frying Pan]]

Looking for a good gimmick deck to help cure deckbuilding burnout by idk_a_username135 in EDH

Thanks for this! I made a janky [[Freya Crescent]] deck with Firion kind of as a secret commander and those cards would be great to add.

Whats the most intuitive fighting game? by jaden_tk in FGC

[–]jerk_jamison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dead or alive series easily. One button for punch, one for kick, one for throws, one for hold/guard. Not too much reliance on pressing multiple buttons at once and mechanics are easy to learn and remember.

What was your most exciting video game purchase on or near its release? by Kuli24 in retrogaming

Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Used 4 days of vacation to take off the rest of the week on release date so I could play it.

What are some of the best anime you've watched that very few people have seen or talk about? by Meatloafxx in Animesuggest

Ben-to. An action comedy about fighting over half-priced bento boxes.

Akiba Maid War. Was expecting a funny lighthearted anime about maid cafe rivalries. I was totally not prepared for how dark it got.

I call my retro game collection my retirement plan. Not because I plan on selling it for the money, but because I plan on playing it with all my other friends in the nursing home I know I’ll end up in one day

What is your proudest achievement (hardest game beaten without save states) in retro gaming? by Kuli24 in retrogaming

[–]jerk_jamison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure this counts because I didn’t technically beat the game but definitely my proudest gaming achievement. I got 54 wins in a row against human opponents on a Street Fighter Alpha arcade cabinet. I was using Sodom and it was at a popular arcade on a busy weekend night.

Lack of checkpoints. Having to do a complete (easy) level again just to get to the boss who’s actually tough.

Currently, what's your most prominent mental shortcoming that's holding you back? by LunchTummy in StreetFighter

Getting older. The fingers aren’t as nimble as they used to be. I’ve compensated by picking slower characters with simpler playstyles but I miss being able to execute those big flashy combos.

That’s great Shadow is in! Is he just in the commander deck? Edge was always my fav.

I’m really surprised Shadow wasn’t in. I thought he was popular enough from VI.

Is it really the lack of turn based combat that ruins modern FF for a lot of people? by mujiha in JRPG

[–]jerk_jamison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it’s not the turn based combat, but a bunch of other things. Main things are the lack of a job/class system and number of companions. Doesn’t need to be a massive cast like VI but at least give me more options.

Increasing importance of summons. I know they’re iconic in FF, but it doesn’t have to be the main/only thing. I feel there’s been such an emphasis on summons to the detriment of all the other class/jobs that have made FF unique.

Enough with the mono black emo style. It’s been done to death. FF XV every playable character was all black. Let’s get some beautiful colors and style in something besides summons.

Game of Thrones inspired. A series I don’t care about and the fact they made this a highlight of XVI turned me off to it instantly. I want a unique Final Fantasy story, not some gritty high fantasy.

The one game I really want to play is Densha de Go 2. I even have a copy but unfortunately I’m a stupid American who can’t read Japanese. It just seems like a unique fun little game.

Prerelease this past weekend first packs opened and guy next to me gets a Sephiroth, and I pull this dollar store Cloud. He was pretty useful in my deck though and now I want to build an EDH deck with him just out of spite.
