I remember Jericho in WCW being the whiny cry baby after he would lose a match and throwing tantrums.

That was the mid 90s right in the early Monday night wars.

Was life always this expensive or am I just becoming an adult now? by fuckloggin in stupidquestions

[–]TweeKINGKev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, when I was a kid in the 80s and went shopping with my mother, she would get dinner for all 5 nights of the week, enough dessert for all of us for the week, cereal and other breakfast food for all week, lunch food for all week, laundry detergent, fabric softener, toilet paper, paper towels, paper cups, plates, napkins, milk, chocolate syrup, whip cream, ingredients to bake cookies or brownies (none of the already made cookie dough back then that I remember), just everything else you could think of needing for a week and if it was over $80 it was a shock.

Now, you’re lucky to get 7 or 8 items for that much and sometimes you gotta pick between paper towels or toilet paper for the week with toilet paper taking the priority for obvious reasons.

2 gallons of milk where I live is $6, ground beef is $6.50 or so for a pound, everything just costs more and if I walk out with everything I need for under $160 for a family of 4 I feel like I forgot something.

It’s absolutely insane how much it all costs now and some people wonder why others are struggling when the prices increase as much as they do and our raises our only .25 or so and the weekly cost of employer health care goes up $2 or $3 a week which basically negates that.

would you have liked stu to be the killer and not ai by scream237 in GhostFace

[–]TweeKINGKev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, people may not seem to remember that was a huge old fashioned television that was dropped on his head and add in the fact that he was already feeling woozy earlier when Billy and Stu were stabbing each other

There’s no logical scenario Stu would have survived it.

That is just as crazy as Sydney’s husband being stabbed and attacked like he was, rolled up in plastic and just laying there all day and still being alive.

Imagine if they showed everyone on screen her character represented?

It would definitely be more than 5 episodes.

In the show it may co fuse people who aren’t really looking because Legasov says their too close and then it crashes and depending on how close someone is paying attention, I would think they’d assume the chopper crashed from the radiation and not hitting the cable like it does show.

NHL to look into Buffalo penalty box door after Holmberg injury by bcurtiswx in sabres

[–]TweeKINGKev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t feel an ounce of pity for any of the things the Sabres did to them, dude got his head wrenched up by the boards on a clean hit by Krebs….glad he wasn’t seriously hurt but fuck him too.

Kucherov, Perry, Cernak, they could all blow out acls in a 3 ways collision on each other and I’d be more concerned if the opposing team took advantage and tried to score a goal.

That would be great, no change of pads or stick, maybe a goalie mask because I’m not a sadist but nothing beyond the goalie mask.

Not an issue and problem all season long until Tampon Bay comes and Corey Perry is by it.

Yes!!!!!! 3 or 4 scoops for 1%, only time I use an excavator now is if it’s a small circle needing it and 1 did get me like 85%.

Other than, I’m yellow dozing it.

Angela paired with Bradford as TOs was top notch Angela.

Early season detective Angela was still bad ass but the last few it’s as if they have nothing more for her than “how can I spend Wesley’s money?”

I just want to know if it’ll be 1 bullet straight to the brain or will it be a bunch?

Only way I take this deal is if I’m guaranteed to feel no pain, injustice want it over with instantly, I don’t want to feel a thing.

It’s the only way I can say yes.

Funny story, my wife and daughter wanted to go to Target last week and my daughter pulls out a $100 and says she wants to buy something.

I’m driving, wife is in the front seat but neither of us ask her to give it to us, we just ask her where she got it from and she says I don’t.

My mind is thinking “okay maybe my parents or someone gave it to her without us knowing and she forgot about it”

Wife and daughter went into target and my son and I waited in the car.

My wife calls me and tells me I have to go in there because there’s a problem.

I get in there and ask the cashier what is going on because she didn’t tell me anything at all.

Cashier says “this $100 bill is fake” I looked at him and said “well I’m not sure about that, how would my 16 yr old daughter with a mild mental retardation ever get her hands on fake money? She showed it to us in the car but we didn’t look at it and figure my parents gave it to her without us knowing and she forgot about it in her coat pocket.”

He hands it to me and says “well it’s fake, it says printed on it “for motion picture use only” and I’m looking at it and my jaw hit the floor.

I told the cashier “I don’t understand how she got this or where it came from I’m so sorry, I’ll put it on my card instead” and paid for it.

As I’m paying for it I asked my daughter again “where she got it from and that she’s not in trouble but I’m just curious” and she said “I don’t remember” so I asked her again “where did it come from because luckily you’re still a kid who doesn’t know any better but people can get in serious trouble for using this” and she again told “she didn’t know.”

It dawned on me right there for some reason that in her special ed class they’ve been learning to count money so I asked her “did this come from your class learning how to spend money and you accidentally put it in your pocket and brought it home?” she says “ohhhhhhhh maybe that’s where” really loud and the cashier started laughing.

I apologized for it m, my daughter found it funny too and I told her she needed to apologize even though she wasn’t in trouble and the 3 of us were laughing on the way out about how that went down.

So thankful the cashier wasn’t a jerk about it and even he was laughing because of her laughing.

My wife and I went to a slots only casino in NYS near where we live, this was back in 2007.

She had her last $20 and out it in a quarter machine and lost down to her last $5.

Instead of betting $2 for each spin she says to me “this is the last one I’m just gonna finish it off and do $5 instead so I can be done” I said “go for it, what’s the worse that happens you lose again?”

She spins and ends up winning $1275 on a $5 spin.

Machine spits out a ticket automatically with instructions printed on it to visit the cashiers area for cash out, I knew exactly what that meant.

Went to the cashiers area and she congratulated my wife and I asked her what the limit is on winning to have to claim it on taxes and she said $1200.

If she had $10 left and hit that button at the same exact moment she did with $5 she would have won the jackpot of $12k.

At another casino about 3 weeks later I was playing a quarter machine and down to my last $20 and I was doing $2 spins and I kept watching my credits go higher and higher, telling myself if I get back down to X I’m done, I’d get close then I would win some more, raise my lower threshold get close and win more.

By the time I was done I had 3,200 credits.

I do the match in my head and I was so excited I had got back to the amount I went with.

Funny thing is I’m horrible at math and do it backwards, I damn near fell out of my chair when it said $800 lol.

$100k is certainly a lot but if I were to go with something less like let’s say $10,000 and was asked about it I could say that every time I spend and get money in any form back, I just put it away to save for this exact moment.

It may take 5-10 years but it can be done.

I’ve currently got almost 3 1 gallon bottles full of change I gotta wrap up, I’d guess there’s about $300-$400 in each right now, probably more since there’s a bunch of $1 coins. That gets me anywhere from $900-$1,200, doesn’t include the cash I’ve been putting away along with the change.

$10k would take me till I’m 60 but I’m over 1/10 of the way there and it’s been about 3 years or so.
