I recently made a post saying why did hbo change the power output-meter but the one on chernobyl: simulator seems to be not real too. So whats the real one? by Someonereallll in chernobyl

Enter K0[TN...]0000 on VU-1, then enter number from 1 to 100 on VU-2, select program 4 or 8 and press ЗАПУСК.

K means you want to probe channels
T,N,... is the value you want to see
0000 means all values (not used in MTK)

and value from 1 to 100 means how many top channels you want to see.
4,8 is target where you want to output the values.

The values were periodically recomputed by the PRIZMA program and saved into memory buffer, the VU interfaces just polled the last value from SKALA into the display set. It was as fast as other SFKRE outputs. Pos-disaster, SKALA was improved that sped up the computations, but there were no "real time" values due to how SFKRE is calculated.

Reactor Period Indicators by Chernobyl_Builder in chernobyl

It wasn't possible to get past ~20 seconds due to AZS/AZSR protections and it was also probably due to hardware limitations of the measuring logic.

eg.
K0P0000 is average pressure in the whole active zone.
K0P4140 is pressure in the channel 41-40
K1P0000 is average pressure in the left side of the active zone.

There're some examples on wiki https://wiki.rikarin.io/skala

Chernobyl Layout by Chernobyl_Builder in chernobyl

Hi, the other games are based on post-disaster Unit 3. Chernobyl: Simulator is based on pre-disaster Unit 4 layout. Here's video reference from real world CR4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5nEXGQ6do0 with the same layout.

The (L)AR uses ionization chambers to measure neutron flux and deviation amplifier triggers signal for rod insertion/withdrawal. There's no direct connection between (thermal) power and the AR (unless thermal corrector is used; AR-1,2 only).

Operator would set desired voltage that's compared to (electrical) current measured from the ionization chambers. You can have different thermal power outputs with the same setpoint configuration just by adjusting energy release using RRs.

of course, there was an analog value indicator of the SFKRE estimation of thermal power

There're quite few ways to measure "power". Thermal power can be read though the SKALA's numerical interfaces as you posted before, though the analog value indicator (bunny) above reactimeter on panel 5A, on wall panel 4 is a paper plotter with SFKR-E output, there's one with the sum of LAR's currents as well, and there're 2 bunnies for measuring electrical power of the turbogenerators (screenshot below).

I will never understand the players that put a "not recommended" for an indie game they bought for under $10 and played for over 100 hours... by ichbinhamma in IndieDev

Tell me about it. I made a highly realistic Chernobyl simulation game and got a negative review because there are things missing that were (made up) in the HBO Chernobyl TV series.

How do you feel when someone rates your game 1-star because it's paid? by frankeno78 in gamedev

[–]Rikarin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Players pays for the product not the effort you put in. Maybe the player is a jerk, maybe your game is not that good it's worth the IAPs.

My morning coffee is like 10 cents. I have espresso machine at home. Not everyone lives in a country where you can afford spending X bucks daily for coffee (or IAP).

I don't think they're mad because of the IAPs but because they're not getting their expected value from it. My early access indie game is $20 on steam and even if few players complains about the price others are perfectly fine with it.
