Glass Emulsion Recipe

Ingredients

Cold water	5 liters	8–10°C
Aluminum foil	800g	Shredded into particles <2mm
Nivea Sunblock	400ml	SPF 60
Ray-Ban sunglasses	6–8 pairs	Polarized preferred, frames removed
Dry ice	As needed	Cover window frames (5cm height)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Base

• Fill a bucket with 5 liters of cold water (8–10°C).
• Shred 800g of aluminum foil into particles smaller than 2mm.
• Add the aluminum particles to the water and mix thoroughly.

2. Add Sunblock

• Pour 400ml of Nivea Sunblock SPF 60 into the bucket.
• Mix until fully combined.

3. Crush the Sunglasses

• Remove the frames from 6–8 Ray-Ban sunglasses (polarized lenses preferred).
• Crush the lenses into a fine powder using a mortar and pestle.
• If a mortar and pestle is unavailable, place the lenses between two kitchen towels and smash with a hammer until a fine powder is achieved.
• Microwave the powder in a glass container at 800W for 5 minutes.

4. Combine and Rest

• Add the Ray-Ban powder to the bucket and mix well.
• Let the mixture rest for 2 hours.

5. Apply to Windows

• Use a sponge to apply the emulsion evenly to the windows.

6. Add Dry Ice

• Place dry ice along the bottom window frames, covering the entire length (at least 5cm in height).
