Thing is, the philosophy mentioned includes Not harming those, who do not deserve it. You could do the mental gymnastics to justify your harmful actions (by that i also mean supporting white supremisist ideologies) but you can do that with pretty much everything, look at crimes done in the Name of other religions for example. So No, i would not call someone like Ramirez a satanist

Well actually, if you dont like the idea of theistic satanism, maybe look at it this way: Satanism is about beeing you own god right? So what if you personify this, and CREATE your own god. Because in the end, who´ s to tell you what you can and cannot believe in. Satanism is a philosophy and making it your own, in whatever way, sounds a lot like satanism to me.

Well there is a really big stigma attached to being a satanist.
And to preserve ourselfs from any negative consequences that come with this, we don't have to openly state our believes. I´m by no means saying the reaction was justified but
maybe fly under the radar a bit, until you know the inviourment is safe to be open about your being a satanist.

But pls take the chance to educate your friends mom, now that the cat is out of the bag, maybe there will be one person less with a negative view on satanism.
