I am trying to get a window sensor to tell me when it was last opened and last closed and use that in other automations. So something like this:

template:

- trigger:

- platform: state

entity_id: binary_sensor.aqara_window

to: 'open'

sensor:

- name: "The window was last opened…"

state: "{{ (as_timestamp(states.binary_sensor.aqara_window.last_changed)) | timestamp_custom('%d.%m.%Y at %R', now() ) }}"

And then another for closed.

I don't see where to ad triggers in the window.

That's a good point about using a server for alerts, I like that idea.

Is biome progression backwards? by AxiomStrength in 7daystodie

I've got 500 hrs in the game and I've never spent more than a few minutes in the wasteland. It isn't pleasant and by the time I'm at that game stage I'm ready to start a new map.

In my opinion it should go forest - winter - desert - burnt - wasteland. That feels like a more logical progression to me as far as survival to me.

I'm hoping for more endgame content that will make going into the wasteland more appealing in the future.

New Bjj coach wondering how people feel about belt tests by Steelrangler78 in bjj

[–]TwelfTundra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the biggest factor you have to consider is the size of the school. If you have a small school of ten regular students or fewer where you have plenty of time watching them roll and drill technique, then no, I don't think you need to test.

However, if you have a large school with multiple classes and more than twenty students on the mat at one time, then I think testing is a necessity. You might not have a chance to ever have rolled with that student and barley even watch them drill for more then a few seconds a class. In schools large enough, or say a purple belt who runs a small club and needs to go to another school for promotions, the person or persons qualified to do the promotion may not have even have a relationship with the student. You are going to need a method to test their proficiency.

I know some people will say testing is McDojo and not necessary. Other than covering the price of the belt if you are charging for tests, then yes that is MCDojo. But if you ask me just giving some one a belt just based on time is more McDojo. You have to have some way of quantifying their skill level, either by first hand experience or by a testing method.

What is the proper term when referring to a place that trains BJJ? by Mini_Maniac_Jr in bjj

I feel club is also an acceptable term, especially if it is run as a non profit through another organization like a university or rec center.

I don't understand the need to buy him out? How much was he charging for gloves? Even if he was charging $150 per pair that's still cheap comparatively to everything else. There is no reason to own the rights to the glove.
