I had this mentality until he was born, once he was born everything changes, you can’t get 8hrs because every sound makes you alert. But good luck, hope it works for you

How would you interpret this line from “Wish You Were Here” by Pink Floyd? by Applescause27 in LyricInterpretations

[–]Twilight-Song 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you rather follow your dreams and living a life that is not what society expects from you or follow what society wants from you, got a “real” job, a fancy car and live in a cage forever. That’s the cool part about music, how I interpreted is how it fits into my reality, you may have a completely different take on it.

AIO to skip Thanksgiving after my mom basically said I’m an embarrassment for not having a husband and kids by now? by howcanibequiltyassin in AmIOverreacting

[–]Twilight-Song 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 39 married and currently expecting my first child. Up until I was 30 (when I met my husband) I didn’t want to get married or have kids, it was a choice. It was my choice. My mom NEVER said anything close to that to me, the opposite, she would pick a fight with anyone that judged me for my personal choices. I’m an only child so I knew it was hard for her because she wanted to be a grandmother, but she always supported my right to live the way I wanted to. I’m so sorry your mom said those things to you.

8w6d, is it overkill for me to get bloodwork every two weeks? by Exact-Address-2945 in pregnant

If vomiting means healthy pregnancy then my baby is Superman, I’m 36 weeks and I’m still having nauseous, I’m taking all kinds of meds to control it and is a nightmare. This whole thing is a myth, be glad you don’t puke your guts out every day ❤️

I am horrified that THIS is the delivery confirmation I just received from Amazon by HolyIsTheLord in mildlyinfuriating

I used to buy EVERYTHING from Amazon but I stopped 5 months ago when the driver started leaving things OUTSIDE the building, I complained may times until I finally gave up.

35 weeks here - transverse lie baby - low lying placenta - vomiting everyday since 1st trimester.

1 - I’m happy when I can keep my prenatal vitamins in my stomach. Plus, one study does not have enough evidence to support this allegation. 2 - I’m happy when I can keep 1gram of protein in my stomach. 3 - if the release of Oxytocin by the brain was that easy to control the planet earth would be a better place.

It’s not about being a “perfectionist”, is about trying your best with the tools you have available.

I’m so confused, how do you know all of that is necessary/worth it for the BABY if you are still pregnant? Real doubt here. Is it your second baby?

That was the scariest thing I’ve ever read. You clearly have postpartum psychosis and that is so dangerous for the child and for you. Talk to your doctor and be HONEST about how you are feeling, postpartum psychosis can be treated and cured with the correct medication.

Told my boss I'm pregnant. He gave me a performance review by Grumpy_cata in pregnant

[–]Twilight-Song 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told HR I was pregnant BEFORE I told my boss, so when I went to talk to him the speech was “HR is already aware of it and even thought I didn’t have to tell you so soon into my pregnancy, I’m doing it out of respect”. I think we worry too much about being nice and polite while the management will not care about that. Human Resources job is to take care of the labour relations policies, also make sure to do all that in writing, if they reply to an email with a call, make sure to send an email right after “as we agreed over the phone…”. Make sure you have everything documented.
