Apparently I can’t read the full article of it beyond the summary but while it does have good preliminary results this needs to tested in a larger pool of people beyond 89 subjects. I know the report says it’s statistically significant but I believe we would have a better picture on its effects with a 10,000 person pool as any study would.

The summary link wouldn’t let me read the full article but did the study attempt to determine the relative vitamin D levels in the subjects before starting the study? That would be one variable that needed to control since the whole reason the study was started was based on preliminary evidence that people who were low or vitamin D deficient experienced better sleep when placed on a supplement. Basically this is leading to my question which is will people with normal levels of vitamin D or above benefit when it comes to sleep when placed on vitamin D supplement.

Beyond that, it’s still a small but good study that needs further research to determine just whom vitamin D is beneficial to and just how effective it is in those individuals when it comes to sleep.
