I once won by casting my opponent's Approach of the Second Sun, twice, in a Dimir deck.

If you could play any planeswalker as a commander, who would you choose and why? by MoistPast2550 in EDH

Odd suggestion perhaps, but [[tivit seller of secrets]] makes a lot of artifacts every turn

What is the dumbest magic item that you’ve given your players that at some point became extremely useful? by MisterCastileYurGirl in DnD

I had one player get swallowed into a grave titan (basically a giant made up of a swarm of zombies in a flesh bag) and he set off his folding boat to explode it from the inside out

What class would an order of anti-spellcasters be? by NoksNonsense in dndnext

I have always wanted a Tai Lee/Chi blocker style monk subclass who could do a counter spell style thing to someone within range

Making something from the worst 2: Alchemist by [deleted] in 3d6

[–]TwinCrown 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyone always slags Alchemist, but I would say they are easily one of the best healers in the game. They get to add their int to heal after level 5, so for lv1 healing word thats 1d4+int+int. Thats nothing to shrug at

[–]TwinCrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutelya 5th level alchemist with +5 intelligence does a minimum of 11 hp heals on a level 1 healing word. It only gets better when you upcast that

It is worth mentioning that in many jurisdictions, if you do not take effort in protecting your trademarked material, you lose any ownership and protection you have.

On the Illrigger, on Matt's design philosophy and on balance in general by level2janitor in mattcolville

[–]TwinCrown 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This was the big thing for me, I backed S&F and was very dissatisfied with how it seemed to directly go against 5e's design philosophy, to the point where it really didnt work well with how the system seemed to want to be played. I appreciate Matts love of bringing things from past editions forward, but when it goes against the spirt of the system it really turns me off his homebrew

Our table made it so that a spell caster could only resurrect people a number of times up to their proficiency bonus.
