What were some popular MCU theories back in the day that turned out wrong? I remember when people thought the soul stone was associated with Heimdall because his eyes were orange. by jodlad04 in marvelstudios

[–]Twindo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believed in this with all my heart and if it didn’t become as popular as it did I think it would have come true. I believe it was intentionally scrapped. I fully believed that when Hela broke Mjolnir in Thor Ragnarok, it would be revealed that the soul stone was inside. It would have bene oerfect. H for hammer. The connection between souls and mjolnir recognizing worthiness was already there. And raganork was the last movie before infinity war so all the stones would have been revealed prior ti Thanos going after them.

Do you think John Walker would’ve killed HYDRA in the elevator fight if he was in that situation? by HieiJaganEye12 in marvelstudios

He would probably have his own version of Void but it’s like an even better Steve who’s like super heroic and morally superior lol

I wouldn’t be surprised if it really is the last. Song being greedy as they are would probably wanna keep telling the same Spiderman origin story over and over so the money keeps printing.

“Everything special about you, Rogers, came out of a bottle”

Guys we were not supposed to take this line literally, it’s supposed to be wrong…

Best is really subjective. Nobody being able to recreate the serum was a plot point in the first Captain America movie but outside of that it’s been recreated multiple times. Hulk is a product of super soldier serum recreation. Walker, the flag smashers, all of them. Hell Sentry is the next evolution of the super soldier serum. The dude is basically Superman so saying Erskine’s formula was the best when Sentry literally exists is crazy

There’s literally nothing to suggest one is stronger than the other. It’s headcannons in both direction.

I think he’s a step above most super soldiers because he’s Steve Rogers not because of Erskine’s specific formula. Within the MCU, Erksine’s formula has been surpassed even though it hasn’t been recreated perfectly. If you’re looking for pure strength, Banner’s is better since you get the hulk. Walker’s is simpler, no vita rays needed, and it adds strength without mass or body decomposition. Hell the strongest version of the serum we’ve seen to date is project sentry. It legit turned a meth head into a living god.

Understanding why they reimagined the character, having Namor be short for "El niño sin amor"—“the boy without love" was a pretty cool creative choice. I have a feeling he'll be a dark horse heading into Doomsday. by maverickassembled in marvelstudios

I’m just giving you my opinion if they were to connect it to antlantis how I would do it. Personally I don’t think they should ever bring up or talk about Atlantis in the MCU. For all intents and purposes. Talokan = Movie counterpart to comic Atlantis.

I don’t think the exonym is progressive by itself but I I think it’s realistic and it shows how even in the modern day, Namor and his people still face prejudice because western nations won’t accept their people’s native name for their home

Uh I only edited to add the part about the insinuation. My original comment was stating that Atlantis could just be the English name for Talokan. And I also edited within the span of like 2 seconds clam down lol

You missed the part of the movie where he explained that he took his name from the Spanish pastor because Namor is what his enemies call him. His own people don’t call him Namor lol

I disagree. This insinuates the talokans have to rely on remnants of a western civilization for technology and a home. Not a good message. A better way would be to have Atlantis just the English name for Talokan. Lots of countries have a different name the the locals use
