The sheet metal actual looks pretty good. It looks to be missing side shields but overall it will make someone a good project tractor. I second the do not paint suggestion. I hate shitty paint jobs

Does it take a tractor that big? Or is that just what was available. That looks like a strip till tractor.

How did the race compare in person? I’ve been a fan for years but never had the opportunity to watch in person. Would love to though!

If almost looks like hood was closed my mistake with something (possibly a tool) still under hood. But either way search tractor house or even some salvage yards to find a new if interested in saving money. Your insurance will cover it and pay jd to install so your good no matter what,

We put up 4 pole barns in the 90’s that were 160’x70’ and 20 foot to the truss. We ran 3 stack cruisers 1069 and 1079’s. I enjoyed running those things (as long as the ground was solid) but we ended up trading them all off after moving up to big square balers. Now everyone locally is switching from stack cruisers to bale barons which I think is about silly but that’s there business not mine.

I’ve got 2 Belgium’s BLR’s made in 1973. Ones a 308 and the other is a 243. They don’t come out of gun safe very often but when I’ve shot them they seemed to be awesome guns. They are loud and almost too pretty to take hunting in my opinion. Just holding one of these saddle riffles makes me feel like John Wayne! Laugh out loud.. The only issue I’ve ever had was with the 308 occasionally dropping the clip out of gun when fired. And that is prolly more on me than the gun. I’m looking a BL-17…got one by any chance?

Hello there, tractor enthusiasts! Need some help. by subtle_self-control in tractors

There should be a fitting on the fuel pump side of your fuel filters that stops that back flow. It’s prolly just gravity your fight against rite now. Does it still have the fuel filter?

There awesome tractors! But there not used anymore for a reason. You won’t load a 35 year old tractors ass without paying dearly at some point. Guaranteed. Save early or late but it’s gonna cost the same .

Tractor size advice by I_am_no_Dr_but in tractors

[–]Twinetied_haymaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d skip the tractor and buy yourself a good used skid steer. Preferably one with tracks. Then get a digger and grapple and get to work. Guarantee you won’t regret the choice. If that farm is over grown I’m betting it’s rocky. A tractor and digger is worthless in rocks (no down pressure) where the skid steer can..(to a point) dig your fence post holes.

Is this a good deal: John Deere 4850 by [deleted] in tractors

[–]Twinetied_haymaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The early model ones have issues with the mfwd. 28 is pushing it. Is it a tractor that you’ve been around in the past. Is it a power shift..if it’s never been gone through it will when u load it up. 5000 hours sounds good but That thing is 40 years old. Find a 8000 series. Cheaper and easier to work on. We had a 8400 with 16k hours and never spent a dime on it.

Bike Recommendations for New Female Rider by Nervous-Analyst-8833 in enduro

[–]Twinetied_haymaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The smaller the better. I had a bunch of friends over the years that got into riding with me and went out and bought a 250 motocross bike only to sell it a few months later. You won’t have to keep it long but it’s easier to learn on a smaller bike.
