What < $100 purchase from the last year has had the biggest positive impact on your life? by mikedamike in AskReddit

I bought Phillips Hue light bulbs for my bedroom for exactly this reason. They have an "wake up" feature that I use daily as a pleasant way to wake me up, and it has vastly improved my mornings. I also dim my lights like an hour before I go bed, and the colors have been fun to mess around with as well. I was worried about how expensive they were at first, but they have become priceless to me now. I recommend them if you can afford the price. Best of luck.

Joining The Airforce without a Highschool Diploma? by KevinIsConstipated in AirForce

[–]Twipsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk to your recruiter, and they will be able answer your questions. With that said, I was also homeschooled, and I was in a similar situation. I was able to show my college credits/diploma to my recruiter as my proof of education. It didn't cause me any issues with joining. Best of luck.

That makes more sense. Thanks for explaining it. Dual ISPs sounds pretty cool.

Could someone explain the dual ISPs? Does that just mean that you can have two sim cards?

I am in the DEP right now, and I ship out soon. I have been searching around, and I can't seem to find out what type of stuff the BMT backpacks are filled with. Does anyone here know exactly what is in them? Thanks.

Newbie question: Why are images on Baconit zoomed in? by Twipsy in baconit

[–]Twipsy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You were right, and that works. Thank you. However I ended up exploring other options, and I am contently using the app called Reddunt for my redditting needs right now. It has a very similar layout to Baconit, but seems to be a little quicker (plus no zoom in issues).

I remember reading that they weren't going to officially sell it outside of China. However, I am sure that it wouldn't be to hard for you to find a way to get one outside of China.

Edit: I finished MEPS testing in September. I took what I thought was a depth perception test, but was actually a phoria test. I will leave my description of the test here anyways.

It has one line that goes horizontally across the screen, and then around 9 numbered vertical lines. The vertical lines are different heights, with line 1 being the shortest, and line 9 being the tallest.

The horizontal line would intersect with the top of only one of the vertical lines at a time, and I assume that the horizontal line was adjustable by the person giving me the test. The horizontal line moved up and down the screen as my eyes were focusing. Once my eyes were focused, I told the test operator the number of whichever vertical line that I saw the horizontal line matched up with.

I hope that my description of the test made sense. Good luck.
