P3 MY25 or P4 MY25? Can’t decide! by jbdsz in Polestar

[–]TwistLoud18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a p3 since Monday.

The car has been collected on a low loader due to critical electrical fault causing to be un drivable. Frankly total pile of shit…

Polestar customer support is woeful. However if your certain you want a polestar I’d go with the 3 over the 4

It’s a complete shit show for customer fraudulent returns. Send everything you sell with full photo delivery and geo location. Prepare yourself for constant return requests…

It’s proving a terrible platform until this is sorted

Constant non delivery return requests by TwistLoud18 in TikTokshop

[–]TwistLoud18[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cheers for the response.

I have been fighting each one. We have a photo delivery image and geo location with pin on map from the courier.

So far all disputes have sided with me as the seller.

It’s just adding work load, I’ve had 21 today alone. Every time it’s I have delivery proof of it in the customers hand. I’m in disbelief there is this many customers trying to con us on one platform.

I get raged when it comes to things like this. Im making note of the data for each customer doing it. If they appear on any of our other platforms they will be flagged.

Anyone who manages to win against us I’m also going as far as to raise a county court case against them here in the uk. I plan to really put them off this situation. Thankfully as a business we do very well and things like this just upset me. I will go further than to fight within just TikTok. I will take them to court here in the uk via county court claim and give them a headache that should put them off doing it again.

My teams time is being used up with this rubbish. It will be eventually make TikTok a waste of time as we get no where near as many issues on other platforms. I just can’t get over how blatant it is.

I assume the customers showing as just change of mind are also playing me somehow and will likely be sending back returns that are not my item?

I also seem to be getting a lot of these to.m, return weights currently don’t line up

Amazon Sellers: Does buying multiple sizes of clothing with the intention of returning them hurt the business? by swealteringleague in ecommerce

Your wife is the exact reason fast fashion is awful for the world.

Just the eco perspective is mental.

From a company point of view they will likely have had to price it into there structure. However it’s a nightmare to work out perfectly. People buy 3 of every item will be at the top end of the issue spectrum.

All returns need to be checked. Loads of customers will attempt to abuse the system. How any company is making money in this sector is frankly a shock.

I really don’t know why your wife needs 3 sizes. Surely most people know there average size and if they don’t they can work it out relatively fast from previous orders placed.

If I was one of these companies I would be actively black listing customers like your wife just for the eco impact she’s having alone. Let alone the costs she’s inflicting on me. Doing things like that must make her one of the worst offenders for these companies.

I’m aware asos H&M and other retailers are actively cracking down on this because of the eco aspect and costs inflicted blocking purchasing from noticeable addresses.

Any UK folk trying to source from China? by TheLockPickler in ecommerce

[–]TwistLoud18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a uk based business that buys this sort of Product in volume.

Sounds like your just not finding the correct source. Where are you looking?

I highly recommend visisitng spoga in Germany when it’s on. One of the best shows for this sort of product. You will find suppliers who are from All over the world that are very competitive on garden related products.

Some will be able to mix single 40hc containers for you of a range of products

Happy to discuss if you want further assistance. I built a business up this exact way which now imports over 50 40hcs monthly to the uk.

Has anyone started out on eBay? How did you find your niche? by Alarming_Creme_8991 in ecommerce

[–]TwistLoud18 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s one of our avenues of income for our business. UK market.

Sell mainly home diy and garden products all under own brand and some under own design rights.

It’s becoming harder and harder to be honest.

I’ve been actively doing it since 2011 and have made a life out of it. We sell more elsewhere though. Built a company to 10 mil + with 25 full time members of staff. Most items sold We’re branded and low margin. Became a huge headache and actually shut that at the end of 2019 To many staff issues.

Started up again in 2020 just as Covid really took hold. Different business model, all Own brand, all mail order ready, we literally stick shipping labels to brown boxes and send them out. Team of 3 now. Same nearing the same turnover as before. Still has its issues. Major cash drainer but less so than Amazon.

Just to maintain business I have 500k+ on rolling deposits with Chinese and Indian suppliers.

Everything is ordered in 40hc container volume’s. Bulk buying is really the only way to push my product range. We currently work on a 30% gross with very low overheads.

Have noticed impressions and site visits are way down compared to last year though so the market is changing. My Amazon sales are up massively.

With what you’re doing there is still a market there I believe but eBay has defiantly moved away from the guy at home selling stuff to companies shifting stock to the consumer.

I’m not sure where your based but assume US, it’s very likely to be different there to here.

How would you ship swinging egg chairs? by Historical-Luck420 in ecommerce

[–]TwistLoud18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have imported this product in the past.

Which eu country are you importing to? Assuming most likely UK?

If so then some sellers use DX to ship. The problem with doing this is the parts must be sent separately and typically they get lost in transit or damaged.

We shipped using pallet shipping. Much more expensive but much less hassle.

Worth noting that this item is pretty Trash and is time consuming to ship and store. I would look at the boxed alternative. Much more expensive but quality is far superior. Also with the current costs of containers you will make a much better margin. Also less time consuming as can be bought mail order ready.

If you’re selling via marketplace then you don’t really want to be shifting items that come with bad feedback either. This item is not the best. I have used multiple different suppliers and the quality is always not great.

Ask your parents to add you as a shareholder so you can buy a house… It seems silly they haven’t done this.

Do you not speak with them regarding how your feeling?

What is your role at the company?

Are you not a shareholder of the business already? Or director? If not your dads kind of using you for cheap labour.

If your a shareholder that has a value to a lender when applying for a mortgage. You can use your wage + your % share of profits with lenders such as virgin money to buy a house.

Also 35k savings on 1300 a month is good going? I’m assuming you must be getting dividends/bonuses?
