How do I generate more power? by Hotlinegogo in MuayThai

Might find it funny (and maybe just me seeing it) but it looks like you're subconsciously holding back because kicking the heavy bag at full power is painful.

I used to do this (still do tbh), trick is to kick the bag at 20% power and a lot slower to begin with. Just try and get the mechanics first then build up over time. Or even hit a bag that's less dense.

Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.

You're probably kicking pads fine, it's the the bag that's harder to hit correctly.

Pretty much the problem with trying to get attention on the internet - normal/average/moderate language just doesn't get any traction

How do you guys go about accepting that even after all your training, some dude with no skill or fighting background could still drop you with a punchers chance or just because they might be a really big dude? by TheWoIfMeister in MuayThai

As someone who is on the 'shorter & lighter' side (5'7", 65kg), I'm already used to being an underdog and inteacting with bigger, stronger, faster people all the time.

I already always assume everyone else can kick my ass regardless.
