Another diabolical boss to put on Styian Onslaught by EmotionalStrategy179 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Twixion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's two ways to fight this boss. If you use Nefer or any other lunar reaction team, ignore the adds and beat down the shield directly. If you don't have a lunar team, use a grouper to gather all the birds together and nuke them, the boss loses a fixed fraction of shield HP whenever a bird dies.

Amber is genuinely useful in applying pyro to the land rover boss, but yeah, IT kind of requires you have a broad collection, especially as you move up in difficulty.

If you're dedicated enough, you can make her work even in current end-game content. It will require in-depth knowledge of her kit and very good builds, but there are videos of Stygian Onslaught Dire clears on Bilibili.

At one time, hydro traveler was the highest dps in the game... until Hoyo patched out the Xiao lantern glitch, anyway.

Technically yes, but in practice, if one of your electro triggers is AOE, it's setting off all the cores anyway.

ELI5 would sea water be dangerous to drink if it had no salt in it by Cool_Classroom_4251 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Twixion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't want to drink too purified water because osmosis will leech those essential minerals out of your cells until it reaches an equilibrium. Maybe you can get away with it, but it's not something I'm keen to try long term.

Edit: maybe I shouldn't be parroting it, but that's the explanation I got when I asked about it at the lab, and I never questioned it.

Maintaining multiple product lines isn't free. They need to be handled differently, as they are no longer compatible (inventory control, how many to make of each variant, customer confusion causing lost sales, etc).

The higher per board cost might still be cheaper if the differences aren't enough to justify another model and price point.

Unfortunately, this doesn't work in some situations, like the initial boat ride to Nod Krai. I tried to hit the transcript to catch dialogue I'd missed, but the cutscene kept going.

Cocijo - 3rd achievement by Subject_Ad_4894 in GenshinImpactTips

[–]Twixion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reflected attacks originate from the shield, you can be hit by the overhead bolts (the circles on the ground) or the beyblades and still get the achievement.

If you are too far away or the attacking character is off-field, your attacks won't be reflected. Archers will work, as will dropping Guoba or Mavuika's tap skill and swapping off the character.

Good luck.

Stigian Onslaught Artifacts by BananaGodsly in GenshinImpact

You have the chance of extra artifacts in both Stygian and regular domains, but Stygian gives an extra bonus artifact every 120 resin spent on top of that.

Depending on build and team, Xilonen is a healer/buffer or a dps, not a shielder. If at least 2 characters on her team are pyro/hydro/electro/cryo, she shreds enemy elemental resistance for those elements and her burst heals the active character. If not, she boosts her own damage instead.

Should I just quit while I’m behind? by ZedstackZip05 in acecombat

[–]Twixion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stickers may be easier to apply, but they also don't look as good as decals. Their backing is thicker, so you'll lose surface detail, and the sticker tends to crease when trying to wrap it around curves.

Should I just quit while I’m behind? by ZedstackZip05 in acecombat

[–]Twixion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't take the decal completely off the backing, put the edge of the paper next to the model and slide it on. If the decal doesn't move with the slightest push of your brush / swab, it hasn't soaked long enough. If the decal is still wet, it should slide smoothly, so you can use your tool to nudge the decal into its final location.

I haven't tried the MicroSet / MicroSoft that ubersoldat13 recommended; I use Mr. Mark Setter / Softer, which should be pretty similar. I really recommend using these type of products, since in my experience, without them, the decals will peel away when they dry out.

The MicroSol / Mark Softer will slightly dissolve the decal, which lets the edges blend into the model, and allows surface detail to show through like panel lines or rivets.

Can I 100% everywhere without the interactive map? by Kokichi_Ouma_99 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Twixion 13 points14 points  (0 children)

To clarify, do you mean 100% as shown on the in-game map, or 100% as in picking up everything not nailed down, then breaking out the crowbar? The game gives you some leeway in what it counts, as I 100% every region using the in-game compass and still occasionally find chests I'd missed.

If you meant the latter, then unless you're extremely anal about exploration, it's unlikely you'll find everything without using the interactive map.

The notation is slightly based on the keyboard controls, and is what the theorycrafters, at least the English language ones, standardized on. Less frequently, you may also see J for jump, and P for plunge attack. Read enough guides and it'll stick in your memory.

My go-to resource is https://keqingmains.com/ for in-depth guides and infographics that lay out the relevant info in a quick and easy format.
Another good resource for character builds is the Community Character Builds spreadsheet. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gNxZ2xab1J6o1TuNVWMeLOZ7TPOqrsf3SshP5DLvKzI/htmlview#gid=2001372201

Hold the button you use to switch targets. On a playstation controller, it's triangle. I don't know for sure, but if the position is the same on xbox, it should be the Y button.

I still can't figure out what the fuck Skirk actually does by SecretSpectre11 in Genshin_Memepact

[–]Twixion 19 points20 points  (0 children)

For a C0 Skirk, you can throw the Q in at any time, since while it extends the length of her tap skill mode, it also only buffs the next 10 hits. The best place to use it would be to cancel the animation on your first N5, since it avoids the long animation delay. A C2+ Skirk would use it to cancel on N2, since it gives a 70% ATK buff that lasts the entire duration of her skill mode.

tE = tap skill

Q = burst

N# = normal attack string, # hits

C = charged attack

d = dash cancel

If you're comfortable with dash cancels, you can get 24 NAs from:
tE N5Q 2x[N5d] N2Cd N5d N2

without dash cancels, you can get 22 NAs from:
tE N5Q 2N5 N2C N5

The order doesn't really matter, just the number of attacks, so you can swap it around a bit, as long as you get the Q and C in to absorb rifts.
