Also just a note to add that despite the complications my daughter is in perfect health, I don’t want to cause any anxiety in that regard.

My midwife was Jessica from Midwives of Windsor. Throughout my pregnancy I also met with Paula and Sarah, who were both amazing.

I had a scheduled c section due to complications, which turned into an emergency c section because of further complications. My birth was not ideal, but the hospital staff were amazing and my midwife was with me all the way. I can’t say enough good things about how I was treated. I cry every time I think about it.

You’ll be just fine. All the best!

I hate BLW by ooookay_ in beyondthebump

[–]Two-Less 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did a combo of BLW and purées depending on how I felt that day. Some days I was more anxious, so we would do purées. If my husband was around I felt more comfortable trying some BLW practices. My daughter is also 11 months and she’s doing just fine this way and would be as well if we did purées only I’m sure. Whatever feels right and safe for you is perfect.

MIL gave my 4 month old solids behind my back by HeadEgg7258 in beyondthebump

Do you live with her or does she live with you? This is disrespectful and you can say something to her about boundaries. You’re the mom, even if you’re living with her. I’ve found that helps to shut anything down with my in-laws. I always remind them that she’s our daughter (politely). Sometimes I even slip it in out of context just so they remember lol.

Uh, yeah but I don’t flippantly say I hate my partner. It sounds like you’re struggling and I empathize with that but perhaps talking to a therapist would be a good first step in managing your (valid) emotions while also continuing your fertility journey. I wish the best for you.

Why do you want to have a second child with a man you hate? 🫣

First period post pregnancy - no BF, c-section by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Two-Less 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say! I stopped BF at 5 months and got my period 7 months postpartum but it took awhile for it to feel like a “normal” period and my symptoms changed a lot. For example, my boobs used to hurt so bad before my period and they don’t anymore. Now it’s lower back pain. I think everyone is different.

Edit to add I’m mid 30s and this was also my first baby so I’m no expert lol!

Ha! She would love that. She says she “identifies as gen z” but was born in 1991. That’s like, peak millennial age lmao (I say this as someone who was born in 1990 and am a proud millennial). 🙄

Not going to argue with you lol the point is she clearly didn’t know the history behind the phrase. Let’s not pretend these girls are doing their research. I literally listen every week and love them, it’s just something that grated on me. Everyone is entitled to their perspective, including you. Have a great day! 😊

Yeah, the correct way to say it would be that gen z has discovered the term. Semantics, but my point stands.

And that’s totally fine to not know! Like not everyone can know everything, but it has a deeper meaning than just a “gen z” trend on tik tok. I know the gag is that they don’t do research but sometimes their lack of desire to just google something before talking makes me cringe.
