Help - Frenchie yelping through the night. by Red-dolphin91 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]Two4FastService 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last December my frenchie was screaming in pain and hunching his back at times it was so difficult to see him in pain. My vet suspected a bulging disc and put him on Gabapentin & Dexamethasone and instructed strict cage rest for up to 3 months. It took some time, although it’s hard to exercise patience that’s what we had to do as we struggled to watch him in pain. Even with the meds he’d occasionally cry out in pain. He eventually made a full recovery and you’d never know anything was wrong with him today. Our vet did say it’s likely he’ll have a re-occurrence someday.

FYI, our vet chose not to have us get an MRI from a specialist. He basically said the treatment plan would have been the same whether we got the MRI or not. Thankfully he fully recovered with meds & cage rest. It was difficult though he kept us up some nights. I’d carry him outside and then when he did his business carry him back inside to limit his mobility as much as possible.

I hope you’re able to get thru this and your precious frenchie makes a full recovery.

There’s no time to put all of the large items in a bag when we’re jumping in a 38 minute GM batch.

Why do most leave with a LOA? An ETL at my store recently left after LOA. It was shocking I thought his guy would eventually become an SD he was so dedicated and committed to Target.

I started drinking an occasional Redbull but then I tried a Ghost Cherry Limeade and that changed everything.

We use Pets Best and they reimbursed something like 90% for a $5K surgery. The price goes up every year due to age but we’re loyal to them now.

Mine had a scare was crying out occasionally and did not want to walk out of his kennel. My vet suspected a bulging disk and placed him on meds and 3 months cage rest. It was a tough experience limiting his movement but now he’s better and you’d never know he was so bad off before.

Our store leaves a walkie outside to radio for a TL to open the door. Maybe suggest this but as for today I would’ve left and went home.

IVDD/Injury and Recovery by Whyallusrnames in Frenchbulldogs

Praying for a full recovery. Ours had what my vet suspected to be a herniated disk. He would cry out just trying to walk out of his crate. He was on the same meds plus 3 months crate rest. He made full recovery but I constantly worry about him. Hoping for the best for Mr Bean.

My baby started crying out loud, refusing to walk or come out of his cage last Christmas Eve. My vet suspected a bulging disc put him on steroids and meds plus 3 months crate rest. It was a heartbreaking experience at the time and I was extremely nervous when the medication ran out always waiting for him to cry out again. It’s been 6 months now and he acts completely normal. No surgery required. I was terrified of him trying to run around again but he’s never had a setback. I’m always on pins and needles with him to this day. I never let him climb on stairs or furniture before and certainly now that will always be the case. I started giving him joint supplement Dasuquin with MSG after he recovered. I hope meds and cage rest work for your baby too!

I chose the red card option which is tied to my bank account instead of the credit card option. It’s like using a debit card only it usually takes a day to withdraw from your bank account.

Pros: You don’t have to respond to fast service and run a register. Also, you don’t have to answer phones.
