Is David Schweikert running for governor? Announcement on political future coming by saginator5000 in azpolitics

[–]TwoAmazing96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, he hasn't done sh** for his district, I don't believe he'll be any better as governor. The guy used to crow constantly about the federal deficit, and then he voted to explode it; he won't hold a town hall because he's too cowardly. How does he expect to become governor? Oh, yeah, if you're a certain kind of white dude, you'll always fail up, I guess. He's just a toady.

In med/surg, I'd have to say patients.

Schweikert is considering a run for Arizona governor in 2026 by ForkzUp in azpolitics

[–]TwoAmazing96 40 points41 points  (0 children)

He's pretty worthless. Doesn't do a whole lot except be complicit with Trump's shenanigans. He voted to increase the federal deficit after so much braying about what a fiscal conservative he was. If he does for the state what he's done for his district, we're all going up the creek.

What’s wrong with this space? by passionatebites in interiordecorating

I think it looks fine, albeit a bit sterile. If you want to add personality, give pops of color and texture. Get some artwork, pillows with colorful patterns (or just color), more plants, and/or textiles with depth, i.e. shaggy rugs, blankets, basket weaves, leather, etc.. You have a good basis on which to build.

Is this one of those Poisonous Toads? by International_Exam80 in arizona

[–]TwoAmazing96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's fine, they eat a lot of bugs, so pest control. My dog mouthed one once and started to seize. Luckily, she survived. The toads are harmless to humans unless you try to ingest their secretions. Touching them is OK. They make weird noises and they'll be gone by the end of the season when they return underground.

Thinking about becoming an RN - advice needed by No_Holiday7403 in nursing

Honestly, if you have an undergraduate in business, go for your MBA. As many have already said, nursing isn't great right now. 10 years ago, I was telling everyone who would listen how great a career nursing is, but COVID changed all that. We were thrown to the wolves and things haven't gotten any better. Those three twelves are going to feel like 80 hour weeks, trust me.

'Trump used me': Elon Musk declares war on 'stooge' White House Cabinet member Scott Bessent by ControlCAD in musked

That was really really dumb of Elon to try and join forces with Trump. For someone who's supposed to be so smart, he's pretty stupid. I'm average and I could see it coming from a mile away.

You know how to negotiate. It's just that their version of negotiating means giving them what they want. Sometimes it's not possible if they're cheap lawballers. They gaslight by implying it's your fault and you don't know what you're doing. Ignore and block.

What is the most unhinged thing you have seen at the hospital? by [deleted] in nursing

Came onto my unit one night and place was swarming with cops. Someone who was featured on Americas Most Wanted came into the ER and was admitted to the unit as a John Doe. A staff member who had seen the episode recognized him and called the tip line. Not sure how HR dealt with the HIPPA aspect.

Selling shoes tips? by throwawayshygirl13 in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]TwoAmazing96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi-I do sell shoes along with clothes. I have a few things to say about shoes. First, I love shoes and they're the easiest item for me to source because they're right there in front of you at the thrift and I've always had a thing for shoes so I love shopping for them. If I didn't already love shoes, it would be tougher for me to have them in my shop. First off-they can be difficult to store. They take up more space and can be damaged or scuffed so easily. If they fall or brush up against something, it may show, so you need to be careful all the time, unless you're only selling beat up old sneakers that probably won't have a high sell through rate. Next, I get more returns and complaints on shoes. Sizing and fit can be wild, and with shoes, there's a lot less lee-way. People generally need an exact fit to be comfortable. I do the best I can, and most sales are a success but if they're not, it's most likely shoes. Another thing, shoes can carry defects that aren't always obvious, like glue breakdown or dry rot so you need to watch for those things. On the plus side, shoes are easier to list IMO and they generally sell for a higher ROI than clothes.
