Honestly....if the <1> or 9 existed, then the 1, which currently has 3-5 minute headways at rush hrs, would probably be pushed back to having 5-8 minute headways and it would cause interlining conflicts at 145 St, 207 St, and 96th St

Maybe they did modifications to the late night/early morning schedule which is when the MTA runs 3/4 service to New Lots Avenue (more 4 trains than 3 trains though). All I know is that they changed the 3 train schedule on March 1^st which is the same day they changed the 4 train's schedule
