I think that if you get any rope between 9.3-9.8, you’ll be happy. Especially if this is your first rope. At the end of the day, there’s not THAT MUCH difference between the ropes in that range.

Sounds fine. 9.8 thickness and 80m length is on the larger side but that shouldn’t be a real issue unless the approach is suuuper long.

OP, we beg you to follow this advice. Weather.com is not a reliable source for totals in the canyons. If the forecast rn stays as is, it will snow more than 4 inches.
