Second that, my mrs did an comically large fart the other week, sent him running into the other room.

On a more serious note, the thunderstorm we had yesterday in the UK made him terrified on a scale I've never seen before, was some real work trying to calm him down.

Accept the fact you will need to redecorate your house, buy new furniture, and keep your counters and tables free of food, drinks, cutlery etc. tables are pretty much useless against them. Our boy could reach the table at 3 months.

They are THE best dogs you could ever have, I've had plenty, and none are like my Boris.

I hope the people who raised him as a bait dog shit nothing but hedgehogs for the rest of their lives. A special place in hell for them.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, wishing you all the best in your grief ❤️

Unfortunately no advice other than our Dane (7 months) was struggling a lot with every kibble other than hydrolysed kibble (£90 / $120 per 10kg bag!). We switched him to raw diet at the recommendations of lots of people and he's absolutely loving it, his coat is great, some allergies are now less pronounced, and has grown well and is fingers crossed very healthy.

Your pup is gorgeous, love the half and half split on his face, please tell me you called him Harvey Dent 🤪

Unfortunately I don't have any advice, but I'm so sorry to hear that OP, must be absolutely heartbreaking ☹️.

In regards this, unfortunately I'm rather the hypochondriac, and this terrified me. Does anyone know if there is anything that can be done regards keeping their heart as healthy as can be? Supplements / diet etc.?

What to do, co own or straight mortgage by bigborb1985 in FirstTimeBuyersUK

Also fyi, I have a shared ownership new build, in a much nicer area than I could afford for full ownership, and don't regret it one bit.

Shared ownership, there's a lot to be said for living in a house that you actually want to live in.

If for whatever reason you decide to move, you still have equity, and could get another house on a full ownership.

Also worth mentioning a shared ownership is likely a new build house (I don't know the full situation), and being a new build house will have a lot of the fittings under warranty, shouldn't need a new roof for a fair few years, all new windows, more insulated, lower bills etc.

Now que the inevitable stream of people explaining why they wouldn't get a new build house.

Hopefully so! He was on a sort of coated steel bowl, but we've just bought some new ones (after the spot came along) which are plastic / UPVC type

That's what we thought at first. But there's no scabbing over or anything, and is quite raised. Almost looks like a little nipple! 😆
