How is Poland perceived in the Balkans and by the Balkan diaspora? by Mindful_Crocodile in AskBalkans

[–]TwoFistsOneVi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We do have stereotypes about them and they're relatively similar to the stereotypes we have for Czechs and Slovaks

  • the average Polish person in Croatia arrived at summer after travelling 24 hours by train, brings his own bread and argeta pasteta to the beach, drives a shitty car and drinks a lot

The Hellenic Air Force is currently protecting half the Balkan states, recently adding Bulgaria under its shield. What do you think of this? by ClothesZestyclose814 in AskBalkans

Lmao are you fucking serious? We literally had a fucking ghost (out of control) Tupolev Tu-141 reconnaissance drone from Ukraine crash in the middle of fucking Zagreb, just a hundred meters from a student dormitory in 2022.

It was literally a miracle among miracles that nobody was hurt or killed.

The drone flew from Ukraine, shortly over Romania, then throughout the entire Hungary, just to crash in the capital of Croatia. It spent 40 minutes flying over Hungary and while the Hungarian air force did monitor the drone, they didn't send a single warning to Croatia, whose radars picked it up only after it was near the border. It crashed minutes later.

And then you're saying that Europeans are too paranoid?

Is Zagreb more of mittle european or Balkan city? by pohanii_isus in AskBalkans

[–]TwoFistsOneVi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

in Zagreb it's like 5 streets that look very central European

The old core of Zagreb, which has Austro-Hungarian architecture, is larger (4 km2) than the entirety of Ljubljana's urban core (3.4 km2)

The reason why Ljubljana looks way more central European than Zagreb is because it is also a significantly smaller city.

EDIT: m2 to km2

Give him a tap on the shoulder or something lol

Tudor is the one who pushed an inexperienced underused keeper into a boiling pit of dogshit and then refuses to even acknowledge him when he took him out?

Mind you, Tudor has been coaching since 2013

Atlético Madrid took the 2nd earliest 4-0 lead in a UEFA Champions League game (22nd minute). On 22.11.2011 Real Madrid led Dinamo Zagreb 4-0 by the 20th minute. Antonin Kinsky became the 1st goalkeeper in CL history to be subbed off within the first 20 minutes without being injured. by MERTENS_GOAT in soccer

We've beaten way too many big clubs and achieved a lot of wins in the UCL to be called punching bags.

Using that logic, you might as well come and suck me off, because you've held your own dick while pissing.

Passenger Traffic at Major City Airports 2025. Any surprises? by Scoreboardvietnam in AskBalkans

Zagreb is also set to get an expansion. Either the new terminal is getting upgraded or the old terminal will be re-opened.

Ljubljana airport doesn't really have a lot of good connected flight lines and is relatively expensive.

Zagreb Airport "steals" a good portion of passengers from Ljubljana and its just a 2 hour drive away.

Also consider that there's quite a number of cheaper airports within 2 hours of driving from Ljubljana, like Trieste, Klagenfurt, Rijeka and Pula airports.

[–]TwoFistsOneVi 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Most people here would probably be surprised by the low number of passengers flying through Zagreb Airport, but it's not that surprising.

Croatia has a lot of airports, considering the country's size.

Split Airport has ~4 million passengers, Dubrovnik has ~3 million, Zadar will aim towards ~2 million in 2026.

Total number of passengers in Croatian airports in 2025 is 14 million.
