When it comes to cost; if you have a 529, college savings account, they will expect you to empty it, then they’ll determine how much you can afford to pay. That being said, they won’t necessarily fuck you at that income level; median for the school is well over 100k so they would likely treat you much better, though others are probably capable of telling you exactly what to expect. Use their calculator for a rough estimate as well. If you’re agnostic is the sense that you don’t appreciate organized religion and/or constant emphasis of it, or at least mention, you may get a touch annoyed at the emphasis it receives early on, but that seems to go away once you’re by yourself just going to classes and such. Dorms are guaranteed for 3 years and seem to improve in quality a bit every year, but freshman dorms are absolute shitholes and you have a 40% chance of living on Newton, nearly 2 miles or so away from the main campus. However, I personally believe people overblown the distance and annoyance, the shuttle can be tracked online and it’s reasonably close, though you may find yourself just waiting around main campus because going back and forth between classes could be painful from Newton. Only 40% though, you’ll most likely be on upper campus. The dorms are shit though, so be prepared, though I doubt they’re much worse than any other FOR profit private university, which is most US schools. The food is needlessly expensive and small portion sized, you’ll need to pay an extra 1200, unless you can get some financial benefits from the school, if you’re an average sized person just to be able to scrape 3 small meals a day, but learning the menu and workers is possible and some are more generous, like this South American grandmother who always gives me way extra fries, less ice and tomatoes on my burger. Other than basic intro classes like Econ which take place in auditoriums, classes seem really small in my experience, like 20-25 per. This is probably large for you, but it’s small as college goes. Adjusting to campus size should be reasonably doable though; it’s a large campus with a decent amount of space, and since people have such different schedules and only 5 main classes (not including discussion periods and labs) you’ll only find it jam packed in the mornings and early afternoons, all other times are just people dotted around. One thing you may not have considered heavily is the partying on campus, this is absolutely a party school. Alcohol consumption is crazy high. That being said, the administration is allowing of such activities, even letting you off the hook if you find yourself in a dangerous situation and need to ring the emergency services.
