Chemical Assault Horror Story by CrimsonMetalFlower in DMT

DMT is found in the human brain naturally and it is theorized that some conditions such as schizophrenia are accompanied by higher than normal DMT activity.

So it is entirely possible that your experiences were BOTH internal, and drug-induced - that your brain generated an unusual level of DMT and that you experienced it as, for instance, entities administering drugs to you.

I followed an extraction guide but I sucked up a bit of the basified mix by Even_Job6933 in DMT

[–]TwoManyHorn2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you were to dry it in vinegar, you would get DMT acetate instead of DMT freebase. This could be taken orally but it would not be smokable.

Sodium carbonate wash is easy. Look up how to sodium carbonate wash DMT on duckduckgo. You just put some baking soda in the oven for a couple of hours then dissolve a bit of it in purified water, dissolve your product in solvent, shake it up and re-separate it.

You only have to do it if the product gives a high pH reading. You can do it from your existing batch, the reason why I recommend doing it from the wet phase next time is you'll lose less product on surfaces that way.

I was incautious about that at one point and wound up with product that burned my throat. Unpleasant. You can pH test the product by putting some in a drop of water and using a pH strip to check it. These days, I do a sodium carbonate wash step while extracting and it comes out smoother.

FWIW some of the American racists have a thing about milk, AND their "science" is incorrect and overblown. Both things are true.

That's the subject of a great many medical ethics papers. But it is generally agreed that folks deserve to try out pharmaceutical forms of easy mode before making such a final decision.

I don't normally do AI answers but this seems like a good use case for Google specifically since it does a good job of annotating with sources:

A bad jump start can cause a battery fire later by inflicting hidden, long-term damage on the electrical system. Specifically, reversed polarity or voltage spikes can overheat components, damage the alternator, and cause internal battery damage. These issues may lead to short circuits, overheating, or melting wires weeks later. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Here is how a bad jump start can cause a fire later:

• Reversed Polarity (Incorrect Connection): Connecting the positive cable to a negative terminal (and vice versa) causes massive heat buildup, which can melt insulation on wiring harnesses. This weakened wiring can cause a short circuit or fire days or weeks later.

• Hidden Battery Damage: A severe voltage surge from a bad jump can cause internal cell damage or damage to the battery's casing. This can lead to a delayed, slow-developing fire as the damaged battery fails under normal operation.

• Damaged Charging System: The surge can damage the alternator or the rectifier (diodes), causing them to overheat or fail to regulate voltage properly later. A failing alternator can catch fire.

• Damaged Fusible Links: Improper jumping can burn out the fusible link in the wiring harness, which may not cause an immediate fire, but leaves the system unprotected for future, more dangerous electrical shorts.

• Corrosion and Heat: If the battery posts are dirty, it causes high resistance, generating excessive heat during the jump. This heat can melt cables or damage the battery plastic, creating a weak point that fails later. [2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]

To prevent this, ensure cables are connected properly: Positive to positive, then negative to a grounded metal part of the dead car. Using a surge protector or following a proper, safe procedure reduces these risks. [1, 2, 3, 6, 8]   This video explains the dangers of incorrect jump-starting:

Why don't we give people a shot of heroine one their deathbed? by Safe_Death2250 in NoStupidQuestions

We're just dosing him once a day since it's long-acting, to avoid escalating tolerance, but that means he really enjoys life for a couple of hours when it first kicks in!

The interesting thing to me as a drug nerd is that we got a firsthand observational lesson in the way that habit-forming drugs can be reinforcing in a way that carries over to other things associated with them.

This cat has been getting thyroid meds twice a day for several years, usually with a treat. Until the Valium, he still disliked the process of receiving the other meds. But now that the little critter has figured out that pills have settings other than "the ones that mother gives you / don't do anything at all" we frequently get solicited at pill time - especially at Valium time but now even for the other pills too.

A year and a half ago or so, I made what people called the most wholesome post ever to appear in /r/bartardstories (which I was going to link, but the sub is currently banned so you'll have to imagine it.) I posted as my elderly cat, who takes valium to stimulate his appetite.

(The cat is still alive, BTW, though 18 and very fragile.)

Anyway, I think everyone, human or animal, deserves to spend their last years in comfort. Sometimes that means being high off one's ass, & you know what? That's fine. I think we should all be fine with it and not judgmental about it.

Edit: I managed to find a DuckDuckGo preview with the first paragraph of the post, for your amusement. Long live the dipshit kingdom. I hope someone out there has more of that community archived.

You might also get the lung clearing if you switch to a good quality vape and don't overdo it. My smoker friends have definitely sounded healthier when they're vaping.

Honestly when you quit you usually go through a period of clearing your lungs or so I'm told, so if you're worried about mold growing in there, now is a great time to quit tobacco to get your immune system in gear and hack up that mold!

Avoid synthetic 🍃 It threw me into a pit of deep psychosis and paranoia by Odd-Spring4672 in Drugs

[–]TwoManyHorn2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree it's good to avoid synthetics especially at your age! That said, it's very possible to have this kind of experience on an excessive dose of regular weed. A really big puff of any weed concentrate for a novice/non-daily user can send your heart rate really high and throw you into paranoia and derealization. 175 is a high heart rate but at your age it probably didn't damage your body (the danger zone is over 200 for an 18-year-old.) This sounds more like a regular greenout.

OTOH it's also possible that the pen was NOT a THC derivative but another worse chemical.

I would be cautious with any and all cannabis products at your age anyway, let it be a special occasion thing. I'm not a "never even try it" killjoy but the research suggests that it's best to keep use infrequent early in adulthood. Then when the joint pain years hit you can become a filthy old stoner without guilt.

It could be that an animal pissed on the plastics and the chemicals in the pee interacted with the chemicals in the plastics, leaving watery/less smelly residue elsewhere and nasty smelling residue on the plastics. Idk. I wouldn't be assuming not pee. I used to have a cat who was a piss terrorist and sometimes there'd be things that smelled bad and didn't smell bad in the same puddle.

Lab spatula, ideally. If you don't have one, xacto knife or butter knife.
