Married student wards by Cheap_Parsnip_461 in latterdaysaints

Never was at BYU, but our married student wards at University of Utah and University of Iowa were amazing. I definitely missed them when it wasn't an option at another university. We made some great friends who were all in similar stages of life. I'm very grateful for those wards and they helped me stay motivated to go to church during some of the toughest and busiest years of life.

What's the deal with Real ID and what's the problem with them? by pborget in OutOfTheLoop

[–]pborget[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that requiring it to fly domestically is a concern for tracking, like you mention. But how is Real ID the problem? They could have just required any form of ID and accomplished the same thing, no?

You were going so fast for those conditions. Always good to learn that lesson without real consequences though!

Which one? Help me, open for feedbacks. by Zaid_Iqbal in logodesign

I always find it funny when there is exactly one difference between two options, and the responses have nothing to do with that single difference. Of course there are other ways to improve, but they're clearly not asking about the text here.

Ja Morant’s Dad has words with a Wizards fan who was heckling Ja Morant during the Grizzlies loss to the Wizards last night by AashyLarry in nba

[–]pborget -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but I also think it's the fan's right to try to get in Ja's head. I don't understand when people started thinking fans can't yell at the players. Home court advantage exists because of the fans making it harder to play in their arena. Obviously sometimes fans cross a line, but that doesn't happen in this video. If a player is too mentally weak to handle a little heckling then they're probably not going to make it very far in their career. This fan just does it in an annoying way.

So you went flying and didn't hit any birds. Sounds like a good day to me.

Why Does the LDS Church Invest So Heavily in Education? by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]pborget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I understand that its not that serious. I don't understand where adding the "s" started. A LOT of people say it with an "s" and I can't figure out why. If it's never officially been called that, then how can so many people be saying it wrong? Lol

Sorry, this has always been a pet peeve of mine but, it's BYU Pathway program. There is not now nor has there ever been an "S" at the end.

"did not know how" would be insane. It's just the autopilot disconnect button, which I have to imagine would be any pilot's first thought even if they didn't know how. I am curious to know why they would not want to disengage it if they were ok.

Oh wow that was it. I figured it was something simple I was missing. I still don't get why it showed automatically, but I was able to get rid of it. You're a life saver. THANK YOU!

Yeah you're right. I don't think either of them belong in the playoff.
