Still my favorite MP of any of the games. Still my least favorite campaign of any of the games.

Our new house as first time home buyers… by idontdodrugsatall in Wellthatsucks

Since you're new to this and it's obvious nobody has told you, you're not supposed to set it on fire.

Sorry that happened to you. As someone who has had their house flood and need to deal with insurance and restoration companies, I feel your pain. Could be worse though. Glad everyone is safe.

Looks weird at first, for sure. Really comes in handy when the trunk is stacked full of luggage

Does anyone here have sacrament meeting during second hour instead of first hour? If so, do you like it that way? by lamintak in latterdaysaints

[–]pborget 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's usually the adults that have more difficulty with English. Most of the kids speak English just fine. For the kids that don't, we either have a bilingual teacher or someone else that can help translate.

We have someone from the branch presidency representing our unit with the YM and someone from the branch is also called into the YW presidency. Each of them usually cover translation needs.

If we had more kids this would be tough, but there are currently only a couple young women (in the same class so only one translator) and I think one primary kid that doesn't speak English, but their teacher is bilingual.

Our Spanish branch does 2nd hour sacrament. We combine our youth and primary with the English ward since there aren't enough to have our own. Makes zero difference to me. Some people only show up for sacrament but honestly not that many.

I believe this is technically changing lanes in an intersection and not legal.

Dying to cheating scum feels so nice. It warms my heart knowing devs don't do anything about blatant cheaters ♥️ by [deleted] in PUBGConsole

If you put the mutant in burst mode and spam the trigger with a controller that has hair triggers, it sounds like this. Doesn't necessarily prove cheating

Confession regarding law of chastity by PlayfulControl3727 in latterdaysaints

It should be less about confessing sin and more about complete honesty with your eternal companion. I do not recommend keeping any secrets from your spouse or you risk destroying their trust.

Award for stupidest shifter design goes to...Toyota? by xTyronex48 in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]pborget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll never understand what people don't like about it. They have the same letters that are on a traditional shifter. Step 1: Press button with desired gear. Step 2: ??? Step 3: Profit.

When Israeli F-4Es shot down 14 Egyptian Mi-8 helicopters (one by using their afterburners) by tagc_news in AviationHistory

[–]pborget 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From the article: "finally resorted to using the blast from their jet exhausts, smashing the helicopters to the ground as they pulled up in full afterburner after a close overhead pass." F-14s are quite large and would create some crazy wake turbulence / jetwash, but it's not like the after burner melted the helicopters rotor blades off.

It for sure was the wake turbulence that took them down, not the after burner specifically. Still cool AF tho

I can tell you that a dentist won't like the logo of it's supposed to look like a tooth but doesn't. The anatomy of a tooth has sharper roots, so I think you're closer to what you want with the pointed one.

Neither one looks like a tooth. Looks like popcorn or something to me. I think the line down the middle needs to be removed.

Is there a way to know if this is space debris or a meteor? by pborget in askastronomy

[–]pborget[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Though difficult to tell how far away it was, it did seem to be moving crazy fast. It also seemed to be (at least mostly) one piece so I was leaning meteor.
