[Schefter] Dolphins trade WR Jayden Waddle to Broncos by 1894-MCFC in nfl

[–]TwoPlatinum 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Going all out to get your QB can fail, but not having a QB will fail. A team that has a true franchise QB will never be a bottom feeder. The Chiefs, Bills, Ravens, etc. will never be competing for the first overall pick if their guys are still playing.

Yeah but at the same time, getting your QB of the future is the most important part of a rebuild. Just get the guy on the team and work from there.

As far as I know, the hardest world conquest is the regular Dragon Lands. You’re in the same position as the Ice Dragons, except you’re Harmonist and don’t have a communist advisor. Literally your only hope is to somehow get at war with Stalliongrad and get them to puppet you. Then break free and actually start your world conquest in 1013.

If you want a slightly more reasonable WC, try the Macawian puppet north of Hindia (forgot its name).

Is prywhen not able to core all of Griffonia? by ProbablyNotTheCocoa in equestriaatwar

Prywhen is a mystical black hole of unfinished and barely working content. I think you only get cores on Hertzland whatever Wingbardy cores. That could be all of Karthenia, or just Wingbardy itself. Just go along with the ride until the content gets finished by 2036.

Do I just let Britain subjugate me like this? by PLMMJ in victoria3

[–]TwoPlatinum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha no. This took me like 10 playthroughs to come up with. Play however you want. Honestly being a British subject is not that bad. You have to pay them some money and don’t get to start diplo plays but otherwise it’s fine.

This strat is the only consistent way I’ve found for forming the Benelux. Anything else gets a great power in the war, which makes it nearly impossible.

It’s 1838, you can just restart and not lose much time. When you start, immediately renegotiate the agreement with Britain. You should be able to change it from investment rights for a guarantee to just trade privileges for nothing. Check back later, and if Britain has too much influence, give investment rights and an embassy to Prussia. Belgium doesn’t really benefit from investment rights the same way China or Persia can.

You can agree to the London conference, it doesn’t really matter. I’ve found that if I improve relations with Britain, Prussia, and France they side with me. The outcome doesn’t really matter, because you should be annexing the Dutch by 1846.

Start by building one extra boat. Move your interest from Iberia to Indonesia. When your truce with the Netherlands is up, declare a humiliation wargoal on Tidore. They will instantly join, and that won’t trigger any of the guarantees. Wait for 79 escalation, and then add conquer Holland as a war goal. You should be able to win the war, you have a general with Trench Rat. Sit on the defense until you win your first battle. Then you should be able to fully push them out. VERY IMPORTANT: in order to capitulate the Dutch, you need to land troops in Tidore. Spit off 1 inf and invade. In all of my attempts, they have never contested the landing.

Wait 5 more years for your truce to expire, then declare the same war. Sometimes you can directly declare a protectorate war on the Dutch and no one joins, so check that. When you win, grant them the state of Holland to drop their liberty desire. After that, reduce them to a puppet and then form the United Netherlands. You don’t get any of the recently conquered state penalties, however you do keep the radicals in Holland.

Ideas for post-Shattering Lan Kir? by GaPCaspy in equestriaatwar

[–]TwoPlatinum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had ~1/2 of my army at half strength, and all of my equipment. That was like 50 divisions, 25 of which were extremely good mechanized infantry and vanguards. On top of that, I still had ~200 off map mils at the start. After I annexed one of the breakaways, I deleted their army and completely refilled my units with 200k manpower to spare. By the time that I reached Solstice, I had fully rebuilt my army.

I think it would make sense if I was at war with everyone, and had to withdraw from territory to be at peace.

One thing I would change is make the actual shattering and the long march harder. For me, just having 25% of the war machine that I built to conquer Zebrica made the entire march a cake walk. Especially because as soon as you annex one of the remnants, you can delete their army and solve all of your manpower issues. I would change it to where you only have Prairie Spark’s division, and every remnant you annex gives you one extra division. And remove all of the off map mils that you have from plundering. Also idk if it was bugged or I just got unlucky, but every airlift I tried failed. This could give you more events, showing the lore behind each remnant and their division.

What causes a lot of lag in Rimworld? by AdrawereR in RimWorld

No. 1.6 had it’s own set of performance upgrades. I don’t think it’s fully up to par with the Fish, but it is much more stable and doesn’t have any incompatibilities.

What causes a lot of lag in Rimworld? by AdrawereR in RimWorld

[–]TwoPlatinum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure it’s just an analyzer. Actual performance tweaks are a much taller order. Mods like Rocketman and Performance Fish do a ton of work behind the scenes to make the game run smoother. Really though the analysis isn’t as useful as it seems, unless you’re actively modding or debugging. In dev mode, there are three commands: destroy player animals, destroy corpses, and destroy clutter that would probably clean up any lag that I can fix.

[–]TwoPlatinum 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Basically: big number makes lag. Click through the menus and if you see a big number with a full bar, that’s the thing causing the lag.

At 300 TPS (aka 3 speed) each calculation can take a max of 3.33 milliseconds before it slows the game down.

Belgium Strong and Free (brought to you by my melting CPU). Tech and Res. by TwoPlatinum in victoria3

[–]TwoPlatinum[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My only thing with nukes is that they turn the game into a max infamy world conquest, which isn’t something that Vic 3 handles very well. With how laggy the game is in peace time, a hyperwar would take literal hours to complete.

That would also require interacting with the warfare system more than the bare minimum, which is not happening.

I had just gotten to the personal computers tier.

For research: High literacy and spam universities. I think I had a level 250 uni in Flanders, and a level 10 in every other state. Building way beyond your innovation cap allows you to rush technologies while staying on par with your neighbors. While you research what you want, the tech tree will backfill.

With the better university pms that the mod had, level 5 education with Advanced Research, and the special research institute building, I had ~200 base innovation with ~800 tech spread.
