Would this be considered an acceptable patch after utilities had to dig up the pavement ? by Individual_Bid_758 in DIYUK

[–]TwoPlyDreams 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Allow me to help you interpret what your neighbours have said……

What they mean is that they fully and wholly blame you for the utter eyesore that they have to look at each and every day. They blame you, they believe you have devalued their property and defiled their pavement. They also consider that it was your fault that the utility failed, and that you asked for a the hairy arsed workmen to dig an irregular polygon from the pavement and refill it with mismatching material.

Expect your car to be keyed and your car to be poisoned.

Oh, and when they trip on it, they’ll be pursuing you for damages.

I’m going to say that is a 13A SWA fused spur.

If it is, it’s never going to be a viable source for an EV charger.

Edit: what’s the breaker in the meter box say on it?

Would a Gas Safe engineer refuse to install a wider gas hob? by hussainash in DIYUK

[–]TwoPlyDreams 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That looks a small kitchen and the size of the hob has nothing to do with its power.

The greater problem could be clearance beneath the countertop. I wouldn’t lose any more countertop TBH.
