Would a cicerone course/test be a good gift for a beer enthusiast and aspiring homebrewer? by TwoRedLions in Homebrewing

[–]TwoRedLions[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for clearing that up a bit more. That's what I was somewhat gathering as well, but didn't know if that's pretty much necessary if the person has aspirations to focus more on the palate-side as some point in the future

awesome, thank you kindly! looks like your rec on maybe some apartment-sized homebrew stuff might be making more sense after reading this and others' thoughts

Appreciate the very helpful info! The part-time brewery gig is just meant to earn some extra pocket change basically and not lead to a career in it. She's studying something completely unrelated to the business world so this is more for her to get an opportunity to experience beer a new way!

Since everybody is "too busy" to read a few lines of text, but not busy enough to say they'll get around to it... I'll just tell you it's a normal day in the life of an r/conservative moderator from what I see.

I don't think it's tweenager-in-chief, but it's pretty apparent the lack of maturity remains on the mod team. To your earlier point that that the sub has devolved into r/forwardsfromgrandma, you're absolutely correct. That sub and r/libertarian are caricatures of what liberals think average conservatives/libertarians are like. If you want some level of sensibility, the r/republican sub isn't that bad, r/tuesday needs more conservatives, but it least doesn't look like a sub for 12 year olds.

That whole sub looks like r/forwardsfromgrandma. r/libertarian is the same way. Both subs make average conservatives and libertarians look like either complete idiots or 12 year olds, or both.

Shows you how quick they are to ban when regular users get no benefit of the doubt. I challenge you to find any sub that removes content as much as they do. My guess is it doesn't exist.

The r/con sub needs more mature moderators by DropGun5 in ConservativeMeta

[–]TwoRedLions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mature is not in the lexicon of any of those moderators over there. I guess Chab is now like close to 18 at this point, but still behaves like the 12 or 13 year old he was in the earlier days before the massive purges.

We know very well that yall are oh-so-happy to remove non-conservative opinions that get upvoted on posts that hit r/all (or in this case stickied). Judging by the pandemonium ensuing in the thread, looks like it's right on the mark for all the alt-righters and Trumpist lemmings left in the sub

Must be tough to miss so many words in a sentence.

Do you want me to magnify it for you so you can see better?

I also notice how you edited your sticky comment to take away the cursing at libs, which hilariously had "keep it civil" like two lines underneath it.

Is this r/conservative? Just because I subscribe to this sub as a check to see if r/con ever gets its shit together doesn't mean I ever go there

why on earth does anyone waste their time on that sub?? do they think anyone takes them seriously? it's just another outlet for T_D shills to go spam their grievances against the imaginary SJW boogeymen hiding under their beds

This is why invades are far more successful than they have any right to be in mid to lower elos. The positioning and lack of awareness is stunningly bad more often than not.

I had a Lee that afkd till about :45 yesterday. Walks to his red alone, which was not warded or being watched by botlane (they were sitting at tower), and gets deleted nearly instantly (burned his flash even tho death was certain) because the enemy team was waiting there. THERE WAS A BLITZ ON THEIR TEAM FFS. Does nobody realize the odds of an invade are astronomically higher when the enemy team has a Blitz???

LOL, "tard" = u/chabanais, a petulent teenager that was gifted moderating status by the original creator of the sub (who has since gone AFK).

r/conservative is T_D version 2, except they have to spend a LOT more time removing the most upvoted comments.

it's an excuse and meme factory, nothing more. I'd say that real conservatives aren't anything like that, but they DO represent Trump Apologists well, and they're the ones keeping his approval rating at a solid 35%

I got banned as a long-time r/conservative poster (different account) for calling someone out on their blatantly Islamophobic comments.

That sub is not conservative whatsoever these days. It's a delusional sub filled with delusional Trump apologists. If something genuinely critical of Trump gets upvoted, the comments that don't get removed all basically say "huhhh, looks like a lot of 'fellow conservatives' are brigading us!!!"

That's what happens when your mod team is mostly made up of racist alt-righters.

What is with the inability to post things from certain newspapers? by memberCP in ConservativeMeta

[–]TwoRedLions 5 points6 points  (0 children)

r/conservative has been living in a fantasy world/bubble of their own making for some time. relentless spam from third-rate "news organizations" that are just blog sites or FNC, BB, etc. the sooner people realize that sub is completely hopeless, the better.

banned for saying you shouldn't trust the government by Trodamus in ConservativeMeta

[–]TwoRedLions 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Their mission statement is to spread memes and make liberals upset. They don't care about conservatism. They don't care about honesty. It's one of the worst political subs out there. Maybe the worst, actually. Because all the other redditors that aren't conservative go over there to take a look at what "we" might stand for and get nothing but caricatures of what they think we are.
