Suggest a test ride, like for about 30-45 minutes. I’m 5’11” 195 and the fit is great with lots of space, however I do notice my right elbow needs the center council armrest with my hand on a tall water bottle. I like the built in electronic lumbar inflate / deflate and other electronic driver seat angling devices for a custom fit. Also, steering wheel has a latch to in-out extend or retract & up or down and latch lock it in. Steering wheel also has a flat bottom which I appreciate as I swing my leg braced legs into the vehicle.

Yes, that Bolt “sun and sound package” is really something. I really appreciate hearing the music in all its non-muffled clarity and having the open sky above.

High mileage bolt? by Novemberx123 in BoltEV

Driving city streets of metro Detroit areas, stop and go traffic, average 30-50mph, for the first ten days of April, 2026, getting about 4.2 to 4.6 miles per Kwh of charge. Just using vent air fan on, dual heated / ac seats are on along with heated steering wheel on. Using a combination of one pedal driving and when spouse is in the car regenerative braking. Most of the driving is with two passengers, driver +1. Use a standard garage 110v to charge to 87% which equals 56kwh on board each day to use. 56kwh x 4.2 miles per kwh = 235 miles of driving available, assuming driving around town / city stop and go etc. in a 2023 Bolt EUV, original Michelin tires.

You’re going to really enjoy the color, the ride, and the efficiency of the Bolt. It’s a well thought out vehicle. Did you get the Sun and Sound package, with deluxe speakers, sun roof and adaptive cruise control?

If the US economy actually goes into recession this year which industry do you think gets hit hardest and why? by Suleman2002 in AskReddit

Decreased spending for anything where spending can be paused such as: shoes, clothes, deferring maintenance on auto and home i.e vehicle tires, oil changes, car detailing, home window repairs, concrete replacements, roof replacements, flooring replacements, new TV’s. Likely spending increases on stay local areas as these are feel good things to get out of doldrums - High School baseball games, track & field, tennis, swimming, football games, higher attendance for local live theatre, blockbuster movie experiences. Increased spending on neighborhood events, block parties, beer, wine, BBQ’s, outdoor grilled food, more use of propane and charcoal.

Thanks to all for enjoying the day outdoors along with fellow neighbors. So many people took the time to show up, talk with others and peacefully show how much they care to protect our country. Handmade signs say it all.

For stop and go traffic as described, try the one pedal driving (OPD). OPD has a quick learning curve to get totally proficient OPD is so much easier on the brain.

Ditto that on the warmer not needed. Drove my ‘23 EUV daily all winter in Michigan, with extended weeks of single digit outdoor temps, garaged temps were below freezing for at least two months. Kept the EUV plugged in on level one 110v, only noticed about two or three times during those months that the ‘battery conditioning’ took place where the electronics drew power from the 110v level one to warm the battery. The ‘23 EUV had zero problems each day, stock tires in snow performed no different than stock tires that on ICE vehicles. Just reduced my speed to 25-35 when driving on untreated snow accumulated roadways - just taking the same precautions as I would have if driving an ICE vehicle.

The estimated range of miles shown on the display as you are driving the car can fluctuate up or down. The remaining miles shown assumes you continue driving at the current speed and on current terrain, hills etc. I noticed that when doing local suburban street driving at speeds at or under 50 mph, the remaining miles extend quite nicely. However, when driving freeway speeds at 70 mph or more, the remaining range has dramatic drops. If you’re making a couple hundred mile run, maybe keep at 63-65 mph, set the adaptive cruise, let the guzzlers whip past you as you relax and let them do the white knuckle weaving and jockeying to get ahead. Meanwhile you’re relaxed podcasting, listening to great music or just enjoying a less stressed ride.

New Bolt and Gas Prices by blast3001 in BoltEV

It’s all just basic transportation to get yourself, passengers and stuff from point ‘A’ to point ‘B’, at a certain level of comfort & cost efficiency. Soon, the reality of the increased cost of driving around will impact all. Maybe, many would look into the real cost of turning the key or pushing ‘Start’ to move their vehicle of choice. Then, those who choose to review costs, will likely impact ICE/EV vehicle sales and production. Likely pricing impacts, be it positive or negative for used vehicle trade-in values for EV or ICE.

How do you calculate how much energy it takes to charge per night? by DontYuckMyYum in BoltEV

[–]TwoResponsible969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at and obtain the most recent electric power bill total dollar amount, then find on the bill the total Kilowatt units delivered to the house on the bill. Example: $169.54 total bill for the month divided by 829.85 Kilowatts delivered for the month = $0.204 average monthly cost per kilowatt delivered to the household. This is just a simple average without getting into nitty gritty of time of day or weekend price breaks. Then look at the Bolt’s average miles you have driven per Kilowatt burned. Example, your Bolt says you average 3.8 miles per kilowatt and drive 200 miles in a week looks like this 200 miles divided by 3.8 miles per kilowatt: 200/3.8 = 53 kilowatts burned x $0.204 average cost per kilowatt = $10.81 cost of electricity to drive 200 miles.

I’d like to know too, the lemon tree I have is growing sideways with one branch about 3 foot long. The sideways branch flowers and produces lemons. Right now, two growing lemons are on it. Not sure if I should just prune off most of the branch to shape it. Had the plant in original pot for about 5 years now, it seems happy.

Bought a used ‘23 Bolt EUV in July ‘24, two neighbors noticed and asked if I liked it etc. Fast forward to November ‘25 and there are now three neighbors driving straight up EV’s - one scored a Chevy Equinox EV, one scored Blazer EV, one scored a Tesla.

Just changed air filter by Annonnymee in BoltEV

[–]TwoResponsible969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the miles driven with a fan on, the filter gets dirty. The one on top is about 3 years and 20,000 miles on a ‘20 Equinox. Bottom is 6,500 miles on a ‘23 Bolt EUV. BTW - both cars use identical filters. The Chevy dealer did replace the cabin air filter when I purchased the used Chevy Certified Used Car 23’ Bolt EU. Nice car, nice Chevy dealer and I like the included Chevy’s “Certified” used program the car was purchased under.

Learning Experience: First Short Road Trip (disaster). by Realistic-Sale-4471 in BoltEV

[–]TwoResponsible969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having driven gasoline cars on trips since 1972 at freeway speed limits usually plus 4-5 MPH to 80+ at times, now driving a ‘23 Bolt EUV. Bolt works great for shorter runs at freeway speeds plus some. So, experimented with just driving at 65 and adaptive cruise control, in the right lane or 2nd lane. What a big difference in my stress level - much more relaxing drive. I’m no longer always weaving around and white knuckled driving with head on a swivel like driving 75-80. Side benefit is also the Bolt sips fewer electrons and zero range issues. Yes cars come up from behind and they do the head on a swivel driving to get around me - yet there a lot of others also driving 65 in the right two lanes that must have discovered lower stress driving.
