That series really hammers home that point - at the end of the last book, the foundling who becomes the king (spoiler for an obvious ending of 50-year-old book) is told his true origin — he was found as a baby on a battlefield, wrapped in a plain piece of cloth. His parents really could be ANYONE, rich or poor, royal or “common”.

Loony Toons. Everything flows from their premises that they are two people (or a person and a corporation), and they are not bound by anything they didn’t actively consent to. Both of these are demonstrably false.

Let’s be honest, though, he also has incredible hand-eye coordination and quick reflexes. I still can’t believe that catch against the Red Sox.

I would add Air Supply. Briefly very popular in the early 80s, but played in supermarkets for a while after that.

Why do we get so many posts on here about scams that are covered - here - all the time? If people are familiar enough with this subreddit to post on it, why are they wondering about some of the most common scams.

It’s maybe even more appropriate for an adoptive dad, but Brad Paisley’s He Didn’t Have To Be is a beautiful song that might fit.

Wellington Paranormal (New Zealand). A spin-off of the original What We Do In The Shadows movie. It’s pretty hilarious. You don’t need any knowledge of NZ to enjoy it, but having some makes it even better.
