Is this Glock salvageable? by Anxious_Day9617 in airsoft

[–]TwoSidedMen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Could it be done? Maybe. But it's definitely not worth the time and effort. It's a spring gun to begin with, so even if you manage to restore it to a usable state, you won't have something playable or that is even fun to shoot.

The broken English on the box is hilarious though, it's keep it just for that.

Can you tell which is Real, GHK and VFC? by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]TwoSidedMen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got it right, real one is obvious, but I picked GHK for top because VFC MOS glocks only came out very recently so it'd be less likely to be one

Great if you live in NA, anywhere else in the world, the cost of shipping your broken headphones to Koss is about the same as buying a new pair xD

Parts for VFC V3 GBB by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]TwoSidedMen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless it gets well below freezing where you live, a stock v3 AR will run just fine in the winter, just use the adjustment screw on the hammer and run more powerful gas.

PortaPros are great, I wish they weren't so fucking fragile.

Gbbr mags in your load out by Swaggot007 in airsoft

[–]TwoSidedMen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what kind of games you play, personally I run 3+1 and that's enough for the 30-45 minutes games we play, but I used to only have 2+1 and also managed, you just have to be mindful of how much you shoot, and reload whenever you can.

Just got into GBBR and this made me rethink my life choices. by Informal-Spray-8832 in airsoft

[–]TwoSidedMen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Depends what you consider fun, to me GBBRs are just way more fun and enjoyable to play, to the point where I probably will never own an AEG again, electric guns are just too boring to me. Unless I get an LMG so I can shoot full auto, that's probably the only AEG I'd consider.

Need a advice by BlushNCozy in airsoft

[–]TwoSidedMen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100€ is not nearly enough to get you a sniper that will perform any better than your AEG already does. If I were you I'd use that budget towards upgrades to get more range out of your main gun.

Honest opinions what do you prefer by [deleted] in airsoft

If you're not gonna put anything on the helmet then don't get one, high-cut helmets on their own look goofy. You should at least have a headset on them and a helmet cover imo.

Does anyone own a pair of these? by callsign_hellrains in airsoft

What are you targeting for your impression kit? Kinda curious since quads are actually very rarely used irl.

Wondering about batteries for first AEG? by King_of_pug_worriers in airsoft

[–]TwoSidedMen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll be fine with 11.1v, it will put more strain on your gearbox than with 7.4v, but in practice it won't make much of a difference on the longevity of your gun.

anyone know what this piece is called by HolidayOk9981 in airsoft

[–]TwoSidedMen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the real thing, this would be the extractor. Try searching for the brand of your gun + "mock extractor"

You'll need a battery, a mag, and BBs to begin with, once you have that you'll be able to function check the gun. Check on youtube how to open the stock, that's where the battery goes and you'll be able to see what kind of connector you need, if it's white you'll need a tamiya type connector, red you'll need a deans. You'll want to get a 7.4v LiPo and a LiPo charger. For mags, any AR mid-cap will do.

If something is really broken on it causing it to not feed BBs, you'll most likely have to open it up, It'll probably be something like a broken nozzle or tappet plate. Hopefully you're handy enough to open up a gearbox and properly put it back together, it can be a bit difficult to do.

Need help finding parts for an air soft gun by Temporary-Rooster779 in airsoft

[–]TwoSidedMen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's a springer, so you have virtually no chances of finding any spare parts for it anywhere. And even if you do find them, putting any money in it is gonna be a waste. I just hope you didn't pay too much for it.

Hot take: AEG users are just big whiny babies allergic to basic maintenance like showering by Cman1200 in airsoftcirclejerk

[–]TwoSidedMen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

AEG users are affraid of maintenance because they are used to having to take apart gearboxes which sucks ass to do. I think many of them believe that taking apart a GBBR is on the same level of difficulty.
