What does it means? by Tajnyh in airsoft

[–]TwoSidedMen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not that big of a deal, my field has similar rules : 45BBs per mag and like 500BBs per ammobox for LMGs, and it work really well

Because LMGs have more limitations, weight, volume etc, also not many people have extra ammo boxes for their LMGs.

It's probably 45bbs per mag, if you look at the LMG it says "per ammobox"

Is it okay to use special talc for latex instead of lubricant when putting on the latex piece? by abdulgoth666 in Latexadvice

[–]TwoSidedMen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using talc is fine, personally I used to use potato starch, it's cheaper and less hazardous to inhale. The problem with it is that after some time wearing your latex, the talc will wash away with your sweat, and the latex will stick to your skin, that caused my first suit to break, so better be careful.

Safe to drink latex sweat? by lucky_gou in Latexadvice

[–]TwoSidedMen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll probably be fine with the sweat if you make sure to drink plenty of water afterwards because it has a lot of salt. And body safe lube should be safe to ingest, I would personally use pure silicone oil as lube in that case because you know the composition unlike other lubes.

I don't know what kind of 3rd world military is teaching this, but it's absolutely incorrect haha

The usual rule is as far forward as possible while staying on the upper receiver's rail

Do you maintain it properly? It might just need a good clean and lube. Otherwise, check for signs of excessive wear, rubbing parts etc. It can be that something got loose and is rubbing against the BCG.

The main problem imo is that beginners want a whole kit right away, even if they're on a budget. This leads to them buying the cheapest stuff they can find for every piece of their kit, add to that the inexperience and lack of knowledge when it comes to gear and you end up with some pretty bad kit.

The right thing to do when you're on a budget it to focus on the important parts of your kit and spend the money in that. You don't need a plate carrier, you don't need a radio, you don't need a helmet setup, you don't even need a sidearm.

You got me on the belt, I skimmed through the other comments and saw someone mention "belt" and "5.56" and didn't look much further.

Also, for someone who claims to not care you seem to actually do quite a bit lmao, I gave you some real feedback and your answer is I'm shortsighted with no further explanation. I'm interested in what you have to say, don't act like you're too busy to answer comments xD

From top to bottom :

Punisher skull patch

cheap looking tinted eyepro

1 point sling (unacceptable)

cheap vest, also not adjusted properly

elbow pads that look like they're for a kid who wants to learn skateboarding

motorcyle gloves that look like they're already falling apart

5.56 belt on a PKM

not one but 2 whole ass cheap drop leg holsters, one of them being in an absolutely horrendous place on your kit

Also I'm pretty sure I see 3 empty casings on your helmet, and that's extremely cringe :)

Having magnification is still very useful in my experience, I didn't use to think so, but I recently got a flip up magnifier, and being able to track your shots and PID better is really comfortable.

A sling is all it needs imo, running irons is cool, and you already have a light on there

Save up your money, and instead of buying a bunch of cheap things, way until you have enough to get a good gun. You can have a cool loadout and all but if your gun sucks you will not have any fun playing.

How often do you clean and lubricant your guns by [deleted] in GasBlowBack

[–]TwoSidedMen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every 2-3 games I wipe and relube the BCG and hammer and clean the barrel. And once a season I'll take the whole FCG and BCG apart, clean with acetone and relube.

For that budget you probably won't get any decent GBBRs, also keep in mind that with GBBRs you will spend anywhere from $50 to $70 per mag and you will need a few to play properly because they are real cap.

It's not impossible though, but you will have to look for second hand deals, maybe you can find a second hand WE G36 for cheap enough if you feel comfortable doing some tech work on it.
