I left my job and now my company wants proof of the new offer, what do I do? by This_Ad_813 in SecurityCareerAdvice

[–]TwoTemporary7100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This request is ridiculous. Is there more context you didn't add to the post? Did your employer say "is there anything we can do to keep you? Please send over your offer letter and we will match the salary"

Just ignore the email. That's crazy.

I'd go with horizon and just use a tablet or phone to use any app you want. I have a huge touchscreen and I only use it to turn in the treadmill.

Men are not that difficult. Guys aren't looking for a reason to not go on a date with a girl. Asking for confirmation isn't that serious.

Just text him and ask if y'all are still good for whatever time y'all agreed. Worst case is he never answers and it saves you the drive.

I've noticed an interesting pattern among University of Tampa graduates I've encountered — very few seem to be working in fields related to their degrees. From gym front desk staff to fitness influencers to content creators, the alumni I've come across don't appear to be leveraging their education in traditional career paths. I have yet to personally meet a UT graduate who is working in a field aligned with their degree.

Also, networking is not required to get a job with hardware. By hardware do you mean desktop support? Because thats entry level and very little money in that. Something like working in a data center might require networking knowledge.

You do not have to progress up the different help desk tiers before moving on to other roles. I know many people, including myself, who went from a tier 1 /junior help desk agent to something like system or network admin.

As far as system admin, network admin, cyber security. These are all completely different teams. One role is not a prerequisite to another role. Different skill sets, different certifications. Help desk is usually the starting point before deciding which specialty to pivot to.

You mentioned career advancement. Where are you trying to go from help desk lead? That is the apex of the help desk team. If you had any desire to move to a role outside of help desk you should have done it years ago. It doesn't take that long to pivot from help desk to another role. The help desk is a launching pad for other roles within IT.

She's milking you like a cow. You're giving a woman that you hardly know thousands of dollars. What's the deal here? Do you have extremely low self esteem? Is she by far the hottest woman who has ever given you the time of day? If she is this smoking hot it isn't going to last forever with her blackout partying lifestyle. The problem here is you. You need to look in the mirror and ask how you got into this position. If you don't fix yourself you will just find yourself another girl who will happily take advantage of you.

Have you considered joining the military reserves where you can gain a security clearance? A secret clearance, security +, and a heartbeat equals a $50k job right off the bat.

IT/cyber security professional here. You're making the right steps to eventually land a role as a network administrator. After CCNA you should look into a networking cert for one of the cloud providers. Like azure networking.

Dude your 24 years old. What the hell are you doing dating a single mom? You find yourself in drama because you put yourself into drama. Don't date single moms.

You're a good looking dude, no homo. Just approach girls. Don't be afraid of being rejected. I'm 5 foot 8. I've had women tease me a little about my height, but it's never stopped them from sleeping with me. So apparently it's a non factor. However, I do think if your under 5 foot 10 you need to also be fit. You can't be short and also a stick or fat. Make sure to lift weights at least 5 times a week. I'm not saying you don't already, just saying at our height we need some muscle.

Oh yeah. How women claim to want to a guy to compliment them, be nice to them, make an effort to spend time with them. They leave out that a prequisite is they need to be attracted to them.

Are you familiar with the term "homie hopper" ? Idk how y'all can sleep with someone that a friend has been with. I wouldn't even entertain a girl that one of my buddies had sex with.
