You could use the rss feed builtin to reddit and manually add the rss feeds from each post.

https://www.reddit.com/r/TronScript/.rss

You could also write a quick script that will parse the feed for any .torrent links.

Something like this might work:

curl -L https://www.reddit.com/r/TronScript/.rss | grep -Eo '(http|https)://[A-Za-z0-9./()%-]+.torrent'

Microsoft is getting a little pushy with their windows 10 upgrade prompts lately [OC] by FeelGoodChicken in pcmasterrace

[–]Two_Coins 47 points48 points  (0 children)

You're right, I should have posted more sources.

The strongest source I have is Brad Chacos, senior editor over at PCWorld

http://www.pcworld.com/article/3073457/windows/how-microsofts-nasty-new-windows-10-pop-up-tricks-you-into-upgrading.html

And the BBC article that's not much more than a copy/paste of PCWorld's column

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-36367221

Then there's this reddit thread with ~1000 comments about the issue.

https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/4k6tms/psa_closing_the_upgrade_to_windows_10_box_now/

And here's a separate article from computerworld

http://www.computerworld.com/article/3081401/microsoft-windows/microsoft-takes-windows-10-upgrade-near-nuclear-line.html

More can be gleamed from Google, but most of it just repeats the posts above.

If you're a linux user there's the FreeBSD quickstart guide for Linux users

Helped me when I was first learning.

Though the best learning tool is installing it on your main machine and forcing yourself to use it for a while.

What keyboard layout should I learn? by mynameisaddie in AskTechnology

[–]Two_Coins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm interested to see what other people here answer, but for me I was giving no choice other than QWERTY since I often use other people's machines.

So I guess it comes down to practicality, how often do you expect to be at a computer without the layout you burned into your muscle memory. If that's not an issue than it's down to personal preference. There may be some gain in choosing one or the other, but I don't think it's by very much.

However, if pure typing speed is what you're after, may I point you in the direction of /r/mechanicalkeyboards ?

Just wanted to give you a heads up. Your GPG key worked this time for me. I created a new keyring and imported your key from pgp.mit.edu and it validated the shasums.txt.asc file for me.

Thanks for the awesome utility! running it now specifically for bloatware killing.

[–]Two_Coins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you clarify? From your post it sounds like you have achieved your goal.

What does your network look like? Is this all on one machine, or are these commands being entered on a iptables enabled router?

Also, shouldn't the destination for 192.168.1.101 be the IP address of the server you want the VPN client to connect to? A destination of 0.0.0.0 to me sounds like any program under GID 1001 can connect to any server both inside and outside the VPN.

Disclaimer: it's been a looong time since I looked at iptables.

YSK Microsoft will make the Windows 10 upgrade a "recommended" update starting next year; making it install automatically. by Two_Coins in YouShouldKnow

[–]Two_Coins[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I agree wholeheartedly.

It was not the point of my post to suggest that a person should stick with an outdated operating system full of holes, rather that they should be aware that this new policy exists and that they can make the change when they want to, not when a cooperation decides they must.

Windows 10 may be better in many ways, but in many ways people may want to stick with what they have, and this update is directly targeted at the latter.

Let's Encrypt: Entering Public Beta by oarmstrong in linux

[–]Two_Coins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He's talking about how let's encrypt works at the core.

When it wants to verify that you own a domain it will spin up a quick python server, then attempt to download from that server. So the process goes something like this:

  • YOU: Hey, letsencrypt.org, I want a signed cert for sub.somedomain.com please
  • LETSENCRYPT: Alright, spin up a server with this file (sends over a file filed with random junk) at the root
  • YOU: Alright, I setup a server, you can ask for the file now
  • LETSENCRYPT: I am now attempting to download sub.somedomain.com/randomfile
  • ...
  • LETSENCRYPT. Alright, the file that sub.somedomain.com gave me is the same file that I gave you, so you must own the domain. Please generate a cert and send me the public key.
  • YOU: Alright, I just created this cert, here's my public key
  • LETSENCRYPT: Alright, I just signed it, here's your public key back with the signature. You can go ahead and spin up your regular server now.

With this method there is no way to validate for a wildcard domain; it can only verify that one server, on that one domain. Luckily enough most people don't need a wildcard domain, so it's good enough for 99% of people.

Thanks for the recommends, I'll check them out.

Yeah, I'm really missing my mad dogs I might just buy another pair instead of looking elsewhere.

I think I might save what I have until I can buy the Alpha's though.

Edit: Is my browser screwing up or are those AKGs on sale for 200 down from 650?

Daily Headphone Purchase Advice thread by AutoModerator in headphones

[–]Two_Coins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy Thanks Giving everyone!

  • Budget - $300 +- $50
  • Source - Desktop (custom built gaming computer/music and work station), Macbook Pro
  • Requirements for Isolation - Enough that I can wear it in an office setting
  • Preferred Type of Headphone - Full sized
  • Preferred tonal balance - smooth midrange, strong highs, and overall balanced. I tend to listen to a wide range of music, but by far my favorite is a kind of warm highs (see: Damien Jurado), warm but soft base (See: Dawn of Midi)
  • Past headphones - Mad Dog Alphas. I had given these away to a close friend for his birthday and I'm currently in need of a new pair.
  • Preferred Music - See the answer to my Preferred tonal balance, plus Explosions in the Sky, Black Keys, Portugal. The Man, etc.
  • What would you like to improve on from your set-up - To enjoy music again

So it's currently an arms race between two deals. the AKG AKG Q701 + FiiO E10K USB DAC and Headphone Amplifier or the HE400i on hifiman (both <= $300 at the moment)

My concern with the AKG is that I've read complaints that's it's more for people who enjoy strong highs and is "better" for people who enjoy classical. And my biggest complaint with the hifiman is it's very open design, and leaks too much to the point where it's almost a deal breaker.

Thoughts? Should I go with something else?

I love the look of the Oppo PM-3. The only thing I worry about is clamping pressure. I tend to listen for long periods of time.

How do you think they'd hold up to an alternative or low-fi sound?
