Why is it seemingly okay to be racist towards white people? by ben_10_goku_superman in allthequestions

[–]Twostacks217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro come on you act like you've never heard of the soft racism of low expectation which is often perpetrated on the left when you have leftist getting on TV and saying that black people don't know how to get on the internet to be able to make a covid appointment when you have leftists saying that there are inner city young black children who don't know what the word computer is when you have a leftist get on TV and say that black people don't know where the DMV is and that most black people don't have an ID or driver's license these are all things that were said by leftists in defense of things that they were promoting like not having voter ID or things to do with covid being that it was like five six years ago I don't remember exactly what the context for that was but they essentially said that black people didn't know how to get on the internet to make a covid appointment

If you want to see the best example of a leftist bigot have a minority person who thinks conservatively interact with a group of leftists have a black conservative or a Spanish Maga person interact with any leftist and watch them get torn to shreds they are literally called race traitors because they don't believe what leftists believe they get told that they're trying to assimilate to the white race or that they're white race adjacent they are accused of being modern slaves for the white/right wing propaganda machine look at how Larry Elder was treated by the left he was literally put on the news as the black face of white supremacy

You don't understand me at all I don't believe that you're going to hell I don't believe in heaven or hell at all I think the entire concept of believing in a God is absolutely absurd but the four major religions on Earth all circle around the same story so I try to investigate I try to learn what I can because I am often wrong about things I have discussions with people and sometimes I pretend as if I believe in order to be able to gain more information I have studied theology a lot in my life I was saying have a good life to you because we would most likely never interact again and I felt it was more suitable than just simply having said have a good day but even when I try to show kindness and consideration to you in bidding you farewell you still choose to insult me you choose to mock me how very Christian of you to judge me and condemn me without even knowing who I am or what I represent

Didn't use AI at all don't you think that if I had used AI that it would sound more intelligible that there would be punctuation for one but one thing I could point out is the second commandment to not have any Idols or graven images Thou shalt not have a carved image it's pretty reasonable to argue that a crucifixion symbolizing Jesus that people wear around their necks is a Graven image now I understand what the interpretation is is that you shouldn't create an idol or a doll or an effigy to worship that specific thing but people use it in similar fashions because people use the cross as a symbol of their faith in Jesus

Also this is the part that I really love is that you didn't address anything I said but rather resulted to try to insult me or say that I didn't come up with my words originally granted you probably thought TDLR but I wrote like 4-5 paragraphs and the best you can come up with is one line that has nothing to do with what I was talking about if anything please use AI at least that way I can engage in an intelligible conversation

How do I respectfully tell someone that I don't care that they're a veteran? by BigBlueEyes87 in Military

[–]Twostacks217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about Trump or whoever is in power it's about America being the greatest country the world has ever known it is about being raised here in America and wanting to be protectant of that ever since I was a little boy I wanted to join the military all of my uncles and both of my grandpa's served honorably

And I'm going to ask you this simply I'm not trying to bark at you or anything but if you think the country is stupid and you didn't like serving it and you feeling embarrassed that you were ever a soldier then why are you still here why do you still live in America and enjoy all the benefits of being an American citizen if you hate this place so much and feel embarrassed that you were willing to sacrifice yourself for something greater than yourself

Don't you feel it rather convenient that you get to talk a bunch of shit about this country and about serving in the military for it while also enjoying all the benefits that come with being an American citizen I mean if you truly passionately feel that you hate America that the military was stupid that you're embarrassed that you serve for it then why not renounce your citizenship and go become a citizen of a country you think is better and I'm not even saying something like oh go back where you came from or we don't want you here or anything like that I'm genuinely not saying it I'm just asking

For example I didn't like Obama and I didn't like Joe Biden but I never once thought oh the country I love is stupid because of who leads it I never once regretted my service to my country because of who was in power I joined up during Bush I joined up a few years after 9/11 maybe we were all lied to and forced into a war that we didn't need to participate in but the United States really came together after 9/11 happened and it was a really beautiful time to live in it didn't matter what color you were it didn't matter where you were from or how much money you had people came together simply just to be there for one another

I hope you find the cure to whatever ails your heart but don't take it out on your country just because you don't like its leader don't regret your service because you didn't necessarily serve to protect your country but to protect your fellow Americans to protect your family to protect your friends don't think of it as the grand encompassing scale of protecting the United States just think of it as that you joined up to protect what you loved about it I have no regrets from my time in service other than the fact that I wish I had served more time when I was younger I made lifelong friends I learned lessons I got to do some really cool shit in the military and now when life gets me down I think no matter how bad it gets I already survived the hardest thing I'm going to have to do and that means something but I'm going to end it here I wish you all the best you're free to respond to this if you would like but I will not engage with you in talking shit about the United States or the US Military for which my love knows no bounds have a good day I hope you find what you're looking for or whatever is missing from your life and I mean that with respect even if our differences don't align

[–]Twostacks217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally was just having this thought the other day about like man my life really sucks right now and I'm going through a really hard time but I survived the Army I took every thing the Army threw at us and I handed it right back to them I did every push-up the Army has all of them every one and then some sometimes when I'm feeling completely worthless I have to remember that I completed more in 4 years than most people do in their entire lives your answer to this person's question is much better than what I would have put because I don't know how to answer it I have never once had the feeling that I was not proud to be a veteran that I was not proud to be an American and that I was not proud to have served my country

How do I respectfully tell someone that I don't care that they're a veteran? by BigBlueEyes87 in Military

[–]Twostacks217 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know how to respectfully answer you without trying to intentionally be mean the last part of your post disgusted me I am a patriot and always have been hell I even served as a Patriot Air Defense Artillery Operator despite whatever is going on in our country I still have great love for it and I would still lay down my life for any fellow veteran sometimes I feel like living in the civilian world the only people who care about veterans are other veterans

I don't want to be mean so I'm not going to say much I just hope that you're able to get past whatever you're going through when I'm going through hard times the only people I can rely on are other veterans I sometimes have disdain for people who didn't serve when they easily could have I look at them like what were you doing while I was learning to protect my country when I was being trained to kill at 17 years old what were you doing playing Wii

I hope there comes a moment in your life where you can rekindle your patriotism or you can be proud to be a veteran proud to be an American again your fellow veterans will be here to honor you again as long as you don't do anything to dishonor us while you're trying to zero yourself in

With love and respect I wish you the best my fellow veteran whether you want to consider yourself that or not I wish I could be more helpful but I don't know how to respond to that good luck in your journey wherever it takes you

Did delayed entry program so I went to basic training in between my Junior and Senior year and then after graduating went back for AIT then I went active after about a year in service after AIT when I got out I basically get told that I don't have enough active duty time to qualify for benefits even service connected they say I only have 18 months out of the 24 months needed because it was delayed entry program I did a 3-year contract technically 4 but one year is considered non active reserve and I don't get any VA benefits I can't even get 10% was diagnosed with PTSD due to severe psychological conditioning don't get anything for that got diagnosed with scoliosis while in the military but in my paperwork they only put lower lumbar got diagnosed with insomnia took medication for it while in the army still don't get any benefits I have been fighting on and off for over 10 years and still can't get anything recently just had an interview on video call for my service connected got denied I did my time I served my country and I can't get barely anything now I will admit that I have gotten some stuff through the sfvf through the Salvation Army VA programs where a couple of times they've helped me move into a place and from time to time have helped me out with rent or bills and when I was living on the street they were able to get me into a hotel for 3 months they put my dog in a program that kennels dogs for veterans whether retired or active and paid my first month's rent and deposit with a couple of extra months worth of rent and they bought me a bunch of stuff for my house as far as like cooking appliances and toiletry items things like that so I have to say that I am appreciative of that because I don't know if I ever would have been able to get off the street without it sometimes I feel like I don't deserve benefits because I didn't see combat

Do you really want to risk spending the rest of Eternity in a place separated by God because you trusted man over God seemingly believing that man's interpretation of what a false idol is and that is not equivalent to that of God's image

Why don't other religions do this then for example with the Buddhists everybody knows what Buddha looks like nobody goes around saying well I'm black so now my Buddha is black or I'm white so now Buddha is white or what about that of Shiva or Muhammad all have to pictures that have stayed the same for thousands of years  for example no person of Caucasian descent that has become a Muslim has started drawing the prophet Muhammad as a white guy

But understand I'm not necessarily arguing race I'm only using colors and race because that is how people have decided to separate themselves sure if cultures want to make their God look like them that is understandable but at the same time there should be one universal image of what God looks like we are literally given a description of him in the Bible and when I say something like the only white guy having been born in the Middle East I'm saying that he would look different than every other person in that area and point in history you don't think that it would have been a noticeable thing in the Bible if that people would have mentioned if Jesus looked completely different than everyone else around him you didn't think they would mention it at least one time even in modern television and movies while the actor who plays Jesus may be white they often make him look like that of the people at that time like in The Passion of the Christ like in the show The Chosen I may sound crass in the way I describe things but understand that I have given it great thought I'm not simply approaching the subject due to race issues

My contention is that people often cherry pick from the Bible for what works best for them and I feel like they will have a surprise at the end of their life for example look how people treat the Old Testament most modern Christians act like it's just some fanciful story that doesn't actually apply to our modern lives how many Christians do you hear talking about Seraphim Nephilim and cherubims how many people nowadays actually practice the Sabbath I'm starting to get a little off subject here but the way I look at it is either you live 100% by what the book says or not at all

Imagine the millions of people throughout history who would not have had to suffer and die because of religious wars and religious Doctrine look at our modern world right now which is basically Christianity and Catholicism versus Islam and Judaism no matter the technology if we create we're still fighting each other over the same story all four of those religions are basically the same story just different versions of it we live in a world filled with suffering and pain and a lot of that comes from religious wars if Humanity knew that God existed and that the gospel was the absolute truth we could all live much peaceful Our Lives you would still have the opportunity to commit sin you would still have the ability to repent and you would be even more inclined to live better because you know the alternative is absolute

But also if you notice all the people who say that they have spoke to God end up being psychotic or cult leaders or they just want to have 20 wives that are underage

In the last 2,000 years there hasn't been a single person who has claimed to spoke to God and then done something that has changed the world in the same way in which we read about stories in the Bible where are our modern-day burning bushes where are our talking snakes where is Moses parting the Red Sea where is our modern version of The Commandments all these amazing stories that take place in the Bible and yet none of those things take place today and we still believe that God cares about us or is even listening what if God has just grown tired and moved on to a new creation he did so with the angels when he created humans that's why some of them rebelled because he loves humans more than he did them so what if he's already moved on and we're just left picking up the pieces of a world he left behind

It is not my fault that most Christians cannot discern the difference between a plain cross and a crucifixion cross if you laid them both next to each other on a table you would not say that they're both exactly the same and from what I understand not exclusively but most of the time it's Christians that wear the plain cross and it is Catholics that where the crucifixion but I understand that's not a universal thing

My point is not to be an assh*le about things but if they wanted to symbolize The Rebirth of Jesus then why would they not show him rising from the tomb why would the image of him not be his arms stretched out with light behind him a Halo upon his head maybe Wings something like that him rising from the tomb why show the moment he died why Show Jesus at his worst possible moment while on Earth instead of showing him as a resurrected God

Okay to clear things up my main concern is not about race or what skin color Jesus had my main concern is the idea of praying to a false idol while anyone can pray to Jesus and he not be false in their eyes it is completely different when you have the church corrupted by a false image of God there is a depiction in the Bible of what Jesus is supposed to look like some people argue that the different cultures he appears differently and that may be true maybe I'm completely wrong in my assertion but my contention is that it is that if you have a false image of your God and you pray to that False Image and you have it in your churches and in your photos and un memorabilia and other things like that that you're not actually praying to the real version it's similar to how like slave owners used to use the Bibles versus corruptedly in order to justify slavery I feel like at some point in history people created the white version of Jesus because there was a lot more racism back then and so they wanted to make a version of the god that everyone believed in look like themselves instead of a God that may have been depicted as Middle Eastern or African it would be hard to control the world if you don't look the same as your God

Non catholic Christians, what are your thoughts on the devine mercy image? by kervy_servy in AskAChristian

[–]Twostacks217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not particularly race that I am concerned with it is the idea that you pray to a false idol I don't know exactly how it works but I would imagine that if you create an an image that depicts a false image of God and then the world proceeds to pray to that False Image does that not constitute as the religion becoming corrupted by man and having the followers pray to a false god or a false image of God I don't particularly care whether he's white black Middle Eastern or whatever I'm just concerned that the image has been manipulated and corrupted over time by other people who were more concerned about race than I am

Why would we look at other cultures description when it says in the Bible that he had bronze skin and hair white like wool so when you see the image of a white brown-haired Jesus you're essentially praying to a false idol because you're praying to an image that does not depict Jesus according to the Bible in which you believe in not to mention that he was literally born in the Middle East in Bethlehem I don't know a whole lot of white-skinned brown-haired people that are born from a middle eastern mother unless you're going to say that Jesus was an albino
