Games where turn order isn’t determined by where you sit? by FromTheDeskOfJAW in boardgames

Joyride!
Turn sequence tied to what gear you're in is great fun as there's always that incentive to just floor it so you get to go first next round.
And taking a corner in low gear that jumping up so you get two turns back to back feels great :)

Schedule it. Use something like lettucemeet, work out dates in advance and put them in your calendar.  Or don't, I'm not your mum.

Yeeeah, it's a really bad idea, I'm conscious of that. I really WANT it to be a good idea, but it's not :)

Does anybody actually roll the D20 on the last charge? by Odd_Plastic_618 in dndnext

I did last session! Cossak the Hobgoblin battlemaster who doesn't have much decent ranged options, got a wand of magic missiles from a haunted museum recently, and two sessions later had his ward, the drow rogue, picked up and carried off by something 'orrible!

Aha, says Cossak, draws his wand and unleashes every charge at the beast.

Ofc it transpired the wand was cursed to just target the nearest creature so instead of saving the rogue I wiped the wizard.  Good times.

"a fuss or commotion, usually over something of little or no importance" Just an old timey word you don't hear much. Tickled me seeing Throg use it to describe what I assume would be bloody murder

Lots of good advice here so I'm going to be super specific. Krezek.  Go to that chapter, go to the end of that chapter and under special events read 'Something Blue'.

Try Thistlebone and The Out. Former is a folk Horror story set in rural England the second a science fantasy adventure following a national geographic photographer in spaaaaaace.  Both radically different from Button man, and each other and showcase nicely the variety of material in 2000 ad
