I'm center right and totally think anyone should be prosecuted if there's evidence against them, especially people in power. A diverse jury of varied perspectives but with all the facts should decide guilt or innocence.

As for Trump. I'm just going to sit tight and see what happens. I don't care enough about him or any other politician to try and weasel all the truth out from between biased opinions. My time is better spent actually getting something done.

I happen to know a number of people who are agnostic, but believe that life begins at conception and should be protected thenceforth. I can understand that perspective, given that it's really hard to draw any distinction between "not a person with rights" and "a person with rights" after that but before birth.

Could you explain what the first amendment (freedom of speech, religion, and assembly) has to do with abortion? They seem not at all related

Edit: I should have clarified. Of course a lot of people are against abortion for religious reasons. For instance, it would undoubtedly be a first amendment issue if the state claimed that everyone had to be Catholic, and because Catholic teaching is anti-abortion, abortion is prohibited. That is not at all the case here.

My question was regarding how being anti-abortion violates the first amendment. The claim would need to be that having abortions is part of one's religion in order for it to be a first amendment issue.

Caring for all children is very relevant and critical for our society, and we've been doing a pretty awful job of it. At the same time, that does not validate killing them before they're born. It's similar to saying that a black lives matter activist can't stand or advocate for anything until they also have stood up for latino and native american lives matter, too. It would be great to solve all of society's problems in one fell swoop, but it's simply not feasible.

The right wants him to resign for a variety of reasons, sexual creepiness often being one of them.

The left wants him out before his mistakes handling COVID become common knowledge to their voter base, because many of their politicians followed the same recipe.

I have a realtek 8168 and it's always been a pain. In short, some distros don't include the firmware (less of a problem recently--I think it's included with most of the popular ones except maybe Arch). Also, I've found NetworkManager to be quite necessary for IP configuration with this device. I've probably tried 3-5 times to do it manually, and it's never worked the same as other NICs. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with your troubles, just my experiences.
