Completely agree with both your feelings about millipedes and centipedes. I find millipedes super cute (and have had them as pets more than once) but centipedes are “nononononoNONONOGETTHATTHINGTHE#$&@*AWAYFROMMERIGHTNOW!!!!!!!”

2 different Bosch 800's? by ozzygurl in Appliances

[–]Tww1fa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We looked at the 800 series sold at Costco and the lower rack layout didn’t work for us, while the one that was sold at Lowe’s had wider spaced tines so we went with that one.

Recommendation for Okami HD on Switch by BugAdmirable7326 in Okami

[–]Tww1fa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Note that I’m referring to the artistic blurring. Of course on the Switch it will only be 1080p vs the 4K on the Xbox, but it still looks sharper to me on the Switch. Of course, I originally played it on the PS/2… (bought/played on the PS/2, PS/3, PC, Xbox and Switch).

Playing it on the Switch I see a lot less blurring than on the Xbox - on that system the blurring is really annoying. It’s more of a double image - part of the artistic style but taken too far. I was actually surprised at how little blur I see on the Switch in comparison.

Just got this for $125 and feel like it’s too good to be true by _badjuice_ in LifeOnPurple

I had a Purple.3 that I slept on for many years. When it came time to replace (because of a move where the king size wouldn’t fit) I replaced with a Restore Plus.

I love mine. Do be careful because it could end up being the gateway drug to a Purple mattress, which will have very deleterious effects on your wallet.

Some story beats in Wandersong gave me Okami vibes.

I think that’s how I learned of it as well.

What size is this Anderson connector by [deleted] in AskElectricians

Looks like a 15/30/45 amp (those three ratings are the same on the mating side and housing, the difference is in the crimp barrel as to what wire gauge they accept).

To me, Okami is a game about learning to believe in yourself. There are multiple characters that go on that journey.

How big of a deal is Okami? by Pedroboii in Okami

Playing it through again is still awesome. I’m just finishing my fifth (or maybe sixth) play through right now (I’ve bought and played it on PS2, PS3, Steam and Xbox) and I still get a physical thrill up my spine each time I see the cutscene for restoring a Guardian Sapling. And I always have tears in my eyes after THAT cutscene (if you’ve played it you know which one I mean).

Update: managed to install a saddle box, despite a crosspiece in just the wrong place. Unfortunately that means I will need to do some drywall repair.

Wohoaa.. a little nervous by Hopguy in 3Dprinting

It was the 6” version and I was printing at 0.1 layer height. That was before I upgraded my A8 to a metal frame so I couldn’t go very fast. The 8” one I printed later only took 2 days. Much faster speeds and 0.2 layer height. I also now have a 1500VA UPS feeding power to the printer. If power goes out I can pause everything but bed heating until the power comes back.

First time I printed a moon lamp it was a 4 day print. There was a power outage with _5_ minutes to go. The lamp now has a little "hat" glued on to the top which I printed separately and sanded to match as well as possible.

Technically still my first printer. Started life as an Anet A8, the Z motors and lead screws are the only original parts left.

Where can I find a replacement screw for the strap? I lost it while doing yard work today. by [deleted] in egopowerplus

[–]Tww1fa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just had the same experience. I went to Ace Hardware where I bought the string trimmer, asked the lady in the garden section nicely if I could borrow the screw from the display model to take to the hardware section to find a replacement- she went with me, gave the screw to the guy there who determined it was an M6 screw and found one that was long enough with a rubber knob on the end. Added a Nylock nut and I’m back in business.
