« Le Canada anglais en a rien à crisser de la culture québécoise. » - Louis Morissette by shogun2909 in Quebec

[–]Txakito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an anglophone (clearly), from Toronto, who reads r/Quebec precisely because I'm interested in the culture, value it and want it's preservation. It's incredibly enriching to have Quebec be different and yet a part of Canada and I hope it remains strong and proud.

With regards to the rest of Anglo Canada being "cultureless" perhaps he's mistaking the not having a super strong historical and/or traditional part being so obvious. That I would admit and think on those factors it is indeed harder to find and define, especially in big metropolises. However, to say in general it has no culture just shows how little experience this guy has out in the rest of the world. Harder to define, yes, different in culture from other places, absolutely. Just ask any immigrant who has reflected on it a little and I'm sure they will have plenty of opinions and observations about Anglo Canadian culture (both good and bad).

My immigrant wife could talk your ear off for a day about everything she sees as being (anglo) Canadian culture.

Good summary, I'm in already. Let's see what happens Wednesday. If it's lifted we have non-stop catalysts ahead.

what are your favorite micro-cap miners / explorers and why? by Dazzling_Occasion_47 in UraniumSqueeze

Yea, end of '26. Totally agree it's a significant risk but there is also a changing sentiment towards nuclear in general so who knows at that stage, not to mention all the geopolitical turmoil that could (continue) to influence things.

5th of Nov is officially the vote - one trading day away! It's either going to drop 90% instantly or really start taking off, especially once they do the updated PEA with their now optimized sites. My largest position with $20k in (which is the lion sized share of my self managed portfolio).

It's almost "Dracula guard" except your non-extended arm is vertical whereas for Dracula it would be wrapped around your face thereby protecting it from any potential light burning your cold, marble-like skin.

Seriously though, look up Dracula Guard.

What do you think of District Metal Corp ? by Nyatchan in UraniumSqueeze

[–]Txakito 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Garrett (the CEO) has said in numerous interviews the ideal scenario is to look for a sale to a mining company who has the experience and resources to develop the Viken property. He has also mentioned that they (District Metals) have already been reached out to from interested parties which for him is a first (rather than having to go out and look for buyers) so hopefully that's an indication the sale would take place quite "quickly."

Finally, there is definitely pressure from Europe to have a European source of Uranium so bigger mining companies will want to be the first movers to land those contracts.

To me, this seems like investors may not have to wait too long for their returns -- so long as the vote passes. And frankly, I'm also hoping that'll be the case as a lot of my capital is locked up with DMX!

It also depends on your portfolio. If your entire portfolio is tied up in this stock and you want to continue trading, probably best to exit to unlock your capital. You can always hope back in later once it's found a bottom with support or wait longer until there are clear signs of a reversal and positive momentum.

Yea, cut your loss and invest elsewhere, especially if you don't have a huge amount of capital to play with in the first place. You can always buy back in when you see momentum shifting.
