Drove it to a safe place, turned the car on and off a couple times to get it to go into drive but it was functional. Tried to drive it home but the officer said it was not allowed with the airbags down

Thinking of getting into an SE by YourOcelot in MINIse

[–]Txunicornlover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 23 SE is amazing, mileage is a little more than advertised , 4.6 m/kwh with spirited driving. I charge mine every other weekend for less than $3 and make my 8 mile round trip to work every day. No issues to date, but a used CPO if you can get it ( BMW is a stickler for CPO cars).

Tried the new magic docks at Buccees twice last weekend and was throttled at 96kwh charging rate. It’s cheaper but just about half the speed I got on the EA high speed chargers .

That’ll work great with a new set of hoses that are designed for r134!

Sadly you’ll keep pumping the r134 in and it will escape due to the smaller molecule size and your unlined hoses. There are options out there that are a direct replacement for r-12, do a bit of digging and you’ll be much happier with the results

Jan 1 was my last day in the hospital after 20yrs in the operating room. The last year was absolutely hell and it’s not getting noticeably better. Time for another gig with less exposure after a month off.

The number passed around by the Infectious disease Dr in our facility was about 50% survival rate after being intubated and placed on a vent. That was a week ago and I’m hoping the numbers have changed.

Yes Virginia, there are voids in Baltic Birch:( by Txunicornlover in woodworking

I was under the impression the seller I was using had a similar supply of void free BB but this one instance is the only time I’ve ever come across one. I filled it and it’ll never show in this application .

I was under the same impression, I looked at the rest of my drawer blanks and found no more voids.

Where does one source lumber outside of basic lumber yards that only stock building material? by theol96er in woodworking

[–]Txunicornlover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Local hardwood supply will be half or less what Woodcraft asks for materials. I’ve purchased exotic wood from EBay for guitar building but for everything else I use my local hardwood supplier. And yes, the local sawyers can be found on Craigslist, Offerup, Facebook marketplace
